city offer nasri 180k a week

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I doubt this is true but it could be an opportunity for us, if it is..there are a number of their players that we could do with.

Lets see how desperate they are for him and ask for Johnson and De jong for Nasri and 10 million...

Johnson, Kompany or Lescott would fit in here, Wenger is more likely to go for Santa Cruz, Zabaletta or Wright Phillips.

For £20m we will wrap him up and put a bow on him to send him on his way - unlike many of ye I quite welcome the radical overhaul of our squad even if the 3 main players that look likely to depart are looking to go rather than being moved on by the club  My big concern now though is that these departures could force wenger into keeping the useless bastards within our squad that could have been heading for the exit door

Hlebby dont take things too personally - I too become frustrated at some threads being open when we already have a transfer thread although I would make an exception with it appears one of our bigger players (status not physically obviously) is departing

Would rather he went City than United, United would get the best out of him which would hurt, he would get lost in the mix at City.

man city's shirt sponsor is etihad

etihad is owned by the abu dhabi royal family

huge 'sponsorship' contracts means huge revenues within the club's earnings therefore within financial 'fairplay' so expect to see gazprom sponsoring chelsea very soon
Under the ruling this is looked into too. You can't sponsor your own team if you own the sponsoring company.

They'll also look at the contract which will need to be within certain perimeters. So if Utd, Pool and Chavs are getting roughly £20M a year in sponsorship yet Citeh getting £50M a year then questions will be raised. Needs to be roughly in line.

Still I'm sure this isn't going to be water tight.

If the £20mill offer is real and they are blowing us out the water on wages then i'd let him go but we gotta buy fast as there's gonna have to be some serious gelling to be done in that midfield!

Lets be honest you'd need some pretty heavy incentive to get someone to want to live around Manchester... :D

Well fuck it - I'm not going to give as much of a toss anymore and that way will not allow this thing to take up as much energy and time in my life as it has done up to now. After that, as the saying goes: 'Que sera, sera'.
well I think you do a very good job of keeping this place more or less organized and within the rules, hlebby. and i'm sure that while some people complain, the 99% that makes the rest of us are actually pretty glad with the job the mods do here, not only you but also db10, rebel and co.

i can understand that it must be a pain the ass to do a job for free and still get abuse, but on the other hand you can just tell everyone to fuck off and do what you think it's best and right...

Feel free to write what you want, when you want and how ever often you want and when the forum goes downhill or gets closed down, well you can worry about where to go to next for your 'entertainment' then, I suppose!!  :banghead:
What has brought this on Hlebby? Someone getting lippy? :?
I sent IHH a PM moaning that he had locked today's two most popular threads. He is right that there is already a Transfer Rumours thread but I just felt that if a particular thread is receiving quite a few comments then they should be allowed to run their course.

However, I respect the good job that IHH does as a mod and would not want him to get pissed off and start sending me intimidating/threatening PM's in return

So keep up the good work Hlebby

Sorry mate - it wasn't meant to be directed at you, it was just bad timing on your part. I had a tooth extracted yesterday afternoon and haven't been able to eat since. Plus smoking has been a bit more difficult for me, thus I was not in the best of moods.

So you can imagine how I might have been feeling when after enduring a difficult night I awake to find not one, but two 'Clichy Transfer' threads (aside from the existing transfer sticky) both started within a few minutes of each other!! Jesus Christ, don't people bother having a look before starting a new thread or writing a new post, in case someone has already started one or made the same point on the subject?

I then find PM's complaining about one thing or another and it all got too much for me. :banghead: :banghead:

Anyway, the hissy-fit is now over (although the point remains: look before posting!!) and all is right with the world again. 8)

I reckon £180k equals £110k after tax.

I'm also glad we are seeing a shake up, people need to remember that these players disappeared when it mattered so why give them irreplaceable status?

We need to accept that the dead wood will stay here until their contracts run out, who would want them?

Genius idea to give unproven kids big long contracts, protecting the investment or ball and chain around mediocrity??????

Think about it, City have to offer silly wages to get him to go there over United.

Money talks.

Seen on Twitter.

Nasri has three choices:
1) go to Man United to win prizes
2) go to Man City to earn big money
3) stay at Arsenal to get neither of them
