Like you I pay the highest prices to watch football - reluctantly in the main - but I pay it and I want the best players we can get.selsdon wrote:Overall I believe I believe overall that ur spouting rubbish.
Year of overacheivement? When was that exactly?
Need to sell before we can buy? Wasn't that the point of selling our soul and leaving Highbury so we could compete with Europe's elite?
Why have a replacement for Nasri and Cesc before they leave? Erm, cover?
Highest paid manager in the land, matchday revenue on a par with Utd, a wage bill woefully out of line with what we're achieving, highest ticket prices in the world yet the likes of you, Wenger and the board plead poverty.
Let me spell it out for you, it's all bollocks mate.
It doesn't take long to look back through what we've done over the years to see times when we've risen above Par and flopped back down again - how you interpret that determines your outlook I suppose.
If we could afford 'cover' of the quality of Cesc and Nasri I don't think they'd be considering leaving.
I don't disagree on the numbers - yet I'm not pleading poverty. If we have £30-50mill a year for transfers (on top of incoming transfer money) for the next 10 years (which is highly likely now some of our building shackles are off) it doesn't mean we've got £300mill to spend now. It means we can spend £30-50mill this season. If we lose Cesc and Nasri and Clichy for £70 mill then we'll have £100mill to spend this year. thats a big difference - could it be that Wenger is looking for players better than Cahill, Cesc and Nasri?
If thats poverty pleading then so be it
