Admit to something unpopular

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It was a long time ago, in the eighties, but I actually quite enjoyed it. They had a very good team in those days.
I think you need to go to confession and ask for forgiveness. Truly truly shocking admission young man.

Mine? I don't like Robin Van Persie. Don't know what it is but maybe goes back to when he got himself sent off at Southampton all those years ago. Hothead who seems to care more about himself than the team. Probably wrong but there you go.
I have had myself exorcised, don't worry.

My best memory of those times was a midweek league cup ( ? ) match against wham, when the spuds won 5-0, and 'we' were happily singing "where's your famous ICF" to them all through the match.

Bloody well found out where they were after the match - they were outside waiting for 'us'. Truly horrendous experience, not just the violence, as to be fair at the time that didn't really bother me, but the thought of getting ( another ) kicking from west ham...but for being a yiddo!!!

Re the Van Persie comment...another confession from me...

I was in Barcelona, and the silly *word censored* quite clearly heard the whistle and was right to get a second yellow. Nothing to do with it being a swiss ref either...honest!

Same as my confession, but I also NEVER wore colours, but I did cheer...but only with certain chants.

The anti-Arsenal chants were - of course - strictly taboo.

PROMISE!

I can top that.

I actually went to watch spurs at Young Boys Berne, and stood with the spuds in their end - admittedly with one of my best mates from school, I've known him 35 years.

It was actually quite surreal, because as you hopefully remember spuds were 3-0 down with half an hour played, and most of them were about to top themselves, and I was struggling to stop myself pissing myself laughing!

A bloody brilliant night, seriously funny.

If some of you think Arsenal fans are moaners then you aint seen nothing yet!

how the fuck is kicking a ball 0.5 seconds after the whistle worth a yellow ? He probably thought the whistle must have blown earlier which is why he said he didn't hear it because he thought no-one would kick up such a fuss of 0.5 seconds

Hmmm this is a moot point whether this was unpopular bit I once knocked one out into an ex girlfriends cup of coffee !!
I remember one of my mates used to love the fact that when he broke up with a lass, if he was round at hers, he'd always sneakily make sure he'd taken a shit in her kettle before finishing with her and making his getaway. Apparently the kettle wouldnt feel particularly heavy so the lass would just fill it as usual but it was meant to absolutely reek when she boiled it. Nice lad he is like

I'll have to remember that one !!!

In mitigation...

My best mate from school ( I'm now 46 ) came over and got a ticket for me, so I DIDN'T PAY for the ticket, and I only see him very rarely now, and I was hoping I would witness spurs getting hammered, and I really do love football, and I live about an hour from Berne, and I didn't wear a spuds shirt or scarf ( and never have done, unlike some of our players ), and...

Will that do?
