As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

how the fuck is kicking a ball 0.5 seconds after the whistle worth a yellow ? He probably thought the whistle must have blown earlier which is why he said he didn't hear it because he thought no-one would kick up such a fuss of 0.5 seconds
I knew this one would be controversial, but it's the rules of the game, sadly.
And honestly when the ball was played through it was quite clearly offside. The two barca players stopped, and so did the keeper.
The first thing I shouted was 'Don't kick it!', and I had time to think it and shout it before he kicked the ball, so I truly believe Robin also had time to think.
Even still, if he lives here and paid to watch that bunch abroad I am still Cesc Flabbergasted
In mitigation...
My best mate from school ( I'm now 46 ) came over and got a ticket for me, so I DIDN'T PAY for the ticket, and I only see him very rarely now, and I was hoping I would witness spurs getting hammered, and I really do love football, and I live about an hour from Berne, and I didn't wear a spuds shirt or scarf ( and never have done, unlike some of our players ), and...
Will that do?
Look, I tell you what, if you set up a Swiss Bank Account for me and transfer £50000 into it I might, but only might, forgive you.
On second thoughts, no, no, no, no, this is still too wrong on so many levels

It was spurs' first game in the champions league, and I wanted to see the game. Obviously hoping for a big spurs defeat which would have finished their season in mid August.
ALSO, and some of you know this already, I am at the moment not allowed to go to England, so being exiled here I really do miss English football a lot, so any chance to see it I will take.
That summer I also went to see Liverpool play Grasshoppers in Switzerland, and any chance I get I will go again.

My first thought when it happened was that Van Persie was a c*nt for putting himself in that position.....it was only after the game that I joined in with everyone saying how unfair it was !

Well, first impressions are usually correct - especially in this case.
All this 0.5 seconds - it's just a red herring. There was enough time for me to think 'don't kick it' and to shout "Don't kick it!" and then he kicked it.
OK, you can argue that the barca players were fouling and simulating fouls, and all of that, but...
Fact is that they were two yellow card offences, and if Robin had been on the field he would have fucking buried the chance that Bendterinho missed, and we would have won.

I thought I was the only gooner that felt like that about Gilberto!! I used to say at the time that we've bought the only Brazilian that doesn't know how to pass properly. Mind you, having now seen Denilson I'd say that Bert was almost Cruyff like in comparison!!
