And if you go above 31 MPH in a 30 limit, you expect to receive a speeding ticket? No, you don't cos there's leeway, as there is in football. because every fucking footballer knows the whistle has gone, and every fucker does it. Only one gets booked and sent off for it. Context mate, otherwise 5 penalties every game, 200 fouls and 90 minutes injury time.Babu wrote:

I was in Barcelona, and the silly c**t quite clearly heard the whistle and was right to get a second yellow. Nothing to do with it being a swiss ref either...honest!

Can't begin with spurs thing,

I knew it would be unpopular. And I know exactly what you're saying, as I've been told the same ( or roughly the same ) a hundred times, if not more.marcengels wrote:And if you go above 31 MPH in a 30 limit, you expect to receive a speeding ticket? But the context was, in my opinion, the most important sodding game of the season. Context was we were away to FIFA and UEFA's darlings, fucking Barca, so the context is surely that all our players should know that we have to be exrtra-bloody careful, as any indiscretion, even a pathetically small one, would give the arseholes at FIFA/UEFA the chance to fuck us over, and what happens?
Robin does something really, really stupid.
That's the context, in my opinion.
Re the spuds thing - yes, I'm a *word censored*.

Fair enough, mate. My context would be an overall footballing one, although the ref *swiss *word censored*Babu wrote:I knew it would be unpopular. I know what you ( and many others ) are saying, and keep saying, but I'm glad you see what I mean.marcengels wrote: Fair enough, mate. My context would be an overall footballing one, although the ref *swiss c**tgave into pressure in penalising our players, and let barcelona players put their hands on our players throats without reproach. He was influenced, so the likelihood of us getting 50-50 was unlikely, so it would probably have been something else anyway.
I have had my fair share of problems with refs in the past - especially swiss refs...
remember this tosser...

Another fucking swiss bastard.
And I have also had serious problems with FIFA as well, as they are based in my city, and exactly because I know how corrupt/incompetent they allegedly are I would have thought that especially in that game the players should have had it drilled into them to not do anything stupid.
I know you meant an overall footballing context, but my point was that the ref was possibly looking for something, and Robin handed it him on a plate.
I have said 'possibly' and 'allegedly' for a reason, btw.
