It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

My wife's a chef and she would stab you for making a curry that way, Bren. You (apparently) have got to start with garam masala, chopped chillis, garlic etc. Using shop-bought paste is VERY frowned upon by the chef fraternity.
 Fuck that, thats far too much effort.

THE CHEF FRATERNITY

I think I'll trust the Pataks Family 8)

Does your wife frown upon tomato ketchup, or does she make her own.....nuff said. 8)
Don't mention the war!!

It's a constant battle ground in our house. I love a good dollop (steady Jayson... ) of ketchup on most things and it really upsets her chef sensibilities!! Sometimes I'll splapp on the ketchup even when I don't fancy it just to wind her up... :D
Went for a chinese with a mate once and he put ketchup all over the grub !! Dont mind ketchup on me burger or chips but all over a tasty chinese?? :banghead:

I'd have to draw the line at that. Ketchup has it's place but not on everything. 8)

My mate covers everything in HP brown sauce and after he saw it in a movie he now puts it in his fucking tea too.

SWL it looks like a Quiche mate!

A mate of mine has ketchup over his dinner, regardless of what it is. Lost a bit of respect for him when I saw him squeeze ketchup all over a roast dinner.

Think we have same mate - the only thing that escapes the ketchup treatment is his rice krispies!!

I guess some spanish waiter gave this omliche, or whatever the fuck it is, some fancy sounding spanish name, in his beautiful spanish accent, and SWL lapped it up.

Then he had ate the omliche

Rebel once asked me if I would like to sample his sausage surprise!

I told him no thanks as I was looking forward to eating his wife's muffin!

Bet she's ok with the money she saves when you go to Mcdonalds, knowing that as well as the kids, you can get a happy meal too...

cubed Beef rolled in some plain flour. Potato, parsnip, carrot, onion cut into quite large chunks.

Throw into slow cooker

Add tin of chopped tomatos and beef stock. Season generously (lots of black pepper imo).

Stick slow cooker on and leave for about 8 hours.

Butter up some french stick and enjoy (you can warm the bread if you're a raving queer). 8)
