I'm looking forward to the post match excuses. My money is on this

"The trip to the Far East has left the players a little bit jaded. You could see today that Newcastle were maybe a little bit more fresh. Overall I believe that our quality was good but we lacked a little bit of efficiency in the attacking third...."

He's bound to blame the Far East at some point as it's torn up his usual preparations of hammering Austrian amateurs somewhere in the mountains....

3-0 newcastle. Can't see anything but a disasterous start for us after the shambles of the cesc and nasri saga overshadowing our pre-season, I can't see how our players are gonna be properly prepared for this. Wenger should be ashamed of how hes handled the whole situation. :(

People wanting Arsenal to lose - fuck me. Regardless of management, playing staff i will never want Arsenal to lose, never.

I'm far from happy - this is the weakest squad we have had in years - but if you want Arsenal to lose you really need to get a grip!

This is a bit silly isnt it........so you'd happily see us pay tha twats wages for a year and then lose him for nothing?

I hate all this shite happening to our famous club, BUT wishing any Arsenal side to lose is an absolute joke!

I understand the frustration but NEVER should we wish this!!!

If I was pardew (the *word censored* :x ) I would not give a flying fcuk if barton had screwed my wife, mike ashleys wife or whoever cos I would certainly be picking him for today. First game of the season, at home, in front of a baying crowd, against a team who at the best of times are fragile and who at the moment must be a nervous wreck.....who wouldnt play the pit bull especially as he is a crowd favourite ? Another worry is that barton might well use this game as a chance to impress wenger and earn his move to a so called big club
