I don't (trust you that is). I really want him gone but the transition after him will be really difficult. Remember 76. Well I and a few others do, but it was only 5 years after we did the double.

The saddest thing about todays match is that all of the old failings are still so evident and oh so predictable. After 4 seasons of the same shortcomings we still have to suffer:-

* Majority of possession yet nothing to show for it.

* Brainless players just waiting to press the self-destruct button ( Song as usual :banghead: )

* Ultra slow build up - always allowing the opposition loads of time to form 2 lines of four

* Shite corners that never threaten to result in a goal

* A complete inability to switch to a Plan B if Plan A doesn't work

* Crap substitutions

* A manager waving his arms around as if none of it is his doing or his fault

Play like that in the next 4 games and we'll get stuffed and the Board can kiss goodbye to £30million.

Effectively 2 pts dropped.

2 mid table treams teams battling out a predictable draw. How depressing is that?

Am I wrong but didn't Nolan carry out a similar assault to Bartons last season when we had the clueless diaby sent off and yet he too escaped punishment?

Gutless ,toothless, and devoid of passion (Surprise surprise).

Nothing has changed other than the fact that we are loosing 2 players of real quality.

RVP looked disinterested today and who can blame him with what's not going on.

'Buy some F*****g passion.

Well we know he heard the fans loud and clear. Doesn't stop him from being stubborn though.

Although I do find it interesting how he is 'concerned' that players who are nourished by Arsenal leave around their peak... the same fucking thing that the fans have been saying for ages :banghead:

Oh yeah, he also has a go at Barton

The sneaky little bugger, effectively he'll now say that the reason we're not winning is because the naughty fans didn't back his little babies and that's the reason, not because he picks a player like Rosicky to try and unlock a defence. :banghead:

Just watched the Barton thing again. Vermaelen needs to be our new club captain.

The guy walked right up to Barton, got right in his face and said something, then walked off like a fuckin nutcase and Tiote tried to barge him and he turned around and got right up in his face.

Vermaelen means business mate :barscarf:

Just seen MOTD...

1) Always new this, but Pardew is a complete and utter *word censored*. Absolute lame arse comment defending Barton.

2) Again, always knew this too... Barton is a fucking *word censored*. Proper scumbag that I hope dies a horrible death (dont actually mean it, but its how I feel)

3) Song - what a complete and utter idiot. Yes, go hard in with tackles if you want to hurt Barton, but you aint gonna get away with a stamp with 50k in the stadium and cameras everywhere. He will get banned. Stupid numpty.

For all the idiot AKBs - has your leader Wenger not learnt from Thierry Henry that its not a great idea to have a striker as captain? I would much rather Vermaalen gets it (as mentioned by WG) or even let Wilshere have it when he comes back?

This should have been an easy win. Our defence looked ok - but bear in mind that the Barcode attack is probably the limpest in the Prem. And I hear only 2 shots on goal?? WTF? And when is Wenger going to realise that Rosicky aint the player he was?

Back from the game. NOTHING has changed since last season - except we are weaker as a squad. After 20 minutes it was clear we were never going to score and it was also clear that Wenger had no idea of how to change it. A lot of possession, a lot of pass, pass, pass but nothing decisive in the opposition box. Actually the defence looked the strongest part of the team today. In the middle and upfront we were woeful. Arshavin is simply not up to it. Walcott is totally average. The team is weak from back to front and it will take a very long time to turn it around. And it is clear now that Wenger is not able to do it. In fact I think just about any manager in the Premiership could do a better job than him at Arsenal now. Highlight of the day was the 'spend some money' song, which I hope was heard in the dugout and on the tele.

You hate Wenger too?
I don't...frustrated, yes, but I won't go on here calling him a c**t, or making out like he has no idea, because that's just childish and anyone with a half a clue about football would know that makes you look stupid.[/quote]

I agree completely, and that's why it's hard to read the forum, despite it being the best option out there. I have to assume that most of these people wouldn't say it to Arsene's face in a private conversation, so why say it from behind a keyboard?

Options:
1. People are letting out anger and depression at their own shit lives.
2. People think it's cool to call people *word censored*.
3. People think it's hard to call people *word censored*.
4. People see people calling people *word censored*, and it gives them a sense of community to join the *word censored*-calling.
5. People think in black and white because it's simpler (legend or *word censored*).

Now I'll get called a rose-tinter / AKB / Jew *word censored* / whatever. I don't really care because I'm not, and my conscience is clear. I am as pissed off as anybody about the state of the club, and it will be a few years before we challenge for the league again, barring miracles. Maybe a change of manager will help, maybe it won't (see above re 1976). And there is room to make discontent known.

But calling someone who has brought us unprecedented success a *word censored*, wanker, etc blah blah, is totally classless, inaccurate, and it isn't in the true Arsenal spirit. With some on here defending the chav scum Joey Barton, I can see how extreme sections of our support have become, and next time we have a debate about the club losing its class (via commercialization), maybe we should take a look in the mirror.

Enjoy the season if you can stand to watch it, you hard-done-by lot. The way I see it (not that you will care as I'm not in the *word censored*-calling brigade) is that it will be a toughie, and the best we can hope for is that some of our more promising players continue to develop and we can build on it.

Spot on with your comments. Agree with every word. Especially option 1. Now put your tin hat on and await the tirade of abuse coming your way.

To be honest despite giving Wenger a load of stick myself and being a staunch realist, I agree with the lads above.

I'll hold my hands up, I'm a culprit too, but I reckon we give the AKBs a bit too much stick, makes it a bit boring here without differing viewpoints.

Holy shit. I've never come on to the forum before and I cannot believe how much abuse there is floating around for the manager and the players. So-called supporters wanting us to lose, repeated c**t name calling, plans to give the manager 'both barrells' on Tuesday night etc. I just can't fathom how people cannot see any positives in anything. I can imagine you all sat in the dark room with a pile of tabloids, rocking back and forth, frothing at the mouth. Why can't we just get behind the team?
