Hazard coming over is the only thing that could possibly save this offseason for me. That or TWO good centrebacks, though I believe midfield has become the priority with the major loss of Cesc and Nasri (plus injuries to Wilshere and certainly more to come).

JD, while in the nicest way possible I think you talk a load of bollocks re: Arsene, I agree about personal stuff, what's the point? Abuse groups of people, certain people who all will agree deserve it, eg a certain wonky-toothed lesbian, but not other Arsenal, personally, it just ain't right, unless they start on you

Hazard - with a name like that he can't go wrong, but I know this kid will use us as a stepping stone and he has said as much. We've already signed a snake in Joel Campbell, we don't need 2 of them.

According to the rumour mill, he has ruled out a move to Arsenal (surprise surprise) and is committed to his current club. (talksport)
And in all reality, what top player is going to sign for us now, with the mess we are in. Any player with any sense can see that Wenger is finished and can no longer deliver what they want, either in their wage packet or on the field.

as everyone here knows I fundamentally disagree with your assessment of Wenger
but more importantly - the Arsenal 'crisis' might be news to you but in the wide world it doesn't register
most big clubs have failed to qualify for the CL at some point
and probably none of us noticed the 'crisis' at AC or at Bayern
none of us changed our opinions of how 'big' those clubs are
95% of players only care about wages anyway
and we pay well compared to most clubs

I don't think it's ever been about 'attracting'
George Weah, Patrick Vieira, Mark Overmars Nicola Anelka, Thierry Henry, Robert Pires and Kolo Toure for different reasons were not in massive demand.

I have never doubted that he would sign youngsters that we don't need. It's when it comes to signing some proven ability and experience that I know he will once again disappoint.

Yes he is. Its simply that he doesn't bid enough. As JD says Arsenal are still viewed as a big club aroudn the world and in England. Many teams have failed to get into the CL, Liverpool,AC,Bayern, these teams have won it not so long ago. Its about the stature of the club. If Arsenal went after most players they would come. Wenger is a very well respected Coach regardless of your own opinion of him
