Sagna - Unsung Hero

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He lives at the end of my road. Nice story I heard about him was that he came running after our postman one morning in January and gave him £100 as a belated Christmas present. He apologised for not giving it to him at Christmas, as he didn't know about the tradition of tipping your postman at Christmas. He also used to walk his new baby around our block.

Nice guy from what I've seen.

as a senior member of our squad would like to see him more vocal with the youngsters.

dont know what he's like at training or in dressing room.

he does his job and does it well but would love him to take in responsibility himself in guiding the youngens.

Spot on. Thats one of the problem I have, you'd think with his experience he would have more organizational skills, and would be able to help someone like kosielney improve.

AW had told him that if he was willing to wait until May to thank the postman, he wouldn't have had to pay anything.

Best defender at the club.

That is not saying much as most of our defenders are shit.

But he'd also be first choice right back for every other team in our league and there wouldn't be many else throughout Europe who wouldn't have him.

I could only imagine how he would excel in a better back four.

I would say that he is in the top 3 right backs in the league. Very dependable and seems like a very nice guy, puts his head down and works hard. Could be a bit more vocal but I think that's not in his character.

Very good defender and along with TV the best defender at the club. Had another cracking game today in an alien position and did well. However I just wish he'd be a bit more disciplined and choosy about when to bomb forward and when to be more restrained. 8)

I think Bac needs to be shown more appreciation. The man is an absolute class act. Seeing the state of the club this summer, he could've easily decided to leave the sinking ship but he's still here giving it his 100% as ever. Always says the right things in the media as well.

The fact we don't have a proper song for him is a disgrace!

It's poetry, but I think it lost something in translation, here's how it looked in baba's head.
Sagna est l'un des quelques roses qui brille dans un océan de merde.
