As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I also am not exactly enamored by replacing strong first team regulars and full internationals with a guy from the French league who looks mustard but may take time to settle and two prospects from the (old money) third division, but despite this I simply cannot believe that Wenger with all his experience and knowledge of the game or Kroenke having spent somewhere in the region of £700m to buy the club want to run it in to the ground or use it as a cash-cow, I cannot think they are that short sighted or naive.
Question is why have we not fixed the issues from last season? - we obviously need a centre back, a defensive midfield leader and for me another striker - the tactics also do my head in at times and I also felt like walking out the ground on occasions when Bendtner was employed as a winger but again I think there will be movement and things will improve.
We cannot compete with City or Chelsea financially - end of so we will not be buying up players like there is no tomorrow but I still think we can attract the right type of player to make us successful and feel we will.
Believe me I don't want another disappointing season as much as the next man and I get the frustration but things change quickly in football and a few good deals can make all the difference and alter people's outlook, just like George Graham did with Hartson, Kiwomya and Helder back in 1995 (always end on a joke!!).
If I remember correctly didn't Soul Glow Helder whip in a sweet cross to Bergkamp for DB's first Arsenal goal?

Following on from last nights perforamance and one in the eye for all the doom merchants a good friend of mine who runs a T-Shirt company has produced the following T-Shirt which I will be sporting at OT on Sunday.

First, I am not sure what all this username talk is about I don't know how to qualify I am me and not somebody else but I am - you'll just have to take my word for it!
And yes, if we draw 1-1 against Swansea I will still attend in the same way I did after all the other disappointing results for games I have attended since 1986 - 'Over Land And Sea' !!
Pav wrote:Maybe Medina Boy but for me the end of the World is not upon us, we have a top manager, fantastic stadium, Champions League football now confirmed as well as sufficient time to do what all of us want and strengthen in key areas.
I cannot and will not believe that come this time next week we won't have signed reinforcements to the squad and be in a much better place than we are today - if we are not then I will also wonder where my season ticket money, as well as the money from Fabregas, Na$ri, Clichy, Eboue has gone and have the same questions as some of the people on here.
In Arsene we trust or rust? Split choice at present - IMO still happy with him but not blind to our issues.

Pav and Augie!!!!!
What...The....Fcuk ??
That's right, leave a decent amount of time before logging back under your 'augie' account....
I see what's going on here, PAV joined the forum in Nov 2006 when all was rosy, and Wenger and Augie "oops I mean PAV" where friends.
Then around June 2007 things started to go wrong between Wenger and PAV
June 2007 in steps Augie to the forum, and PAV is never heard from again, until today, which coincided with a wonderful result in the clge.
Could Augie "oops there I go again I mean PAV" be getting back together.
