When was the last time...

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

All Wenger's exciting signings he just sticks in the wrong position and then they become shit, it seems :lol:

Of recent signings Arshavin but like a few have said the most excited I can recall being about seeing a new signing pull on the shirt was Bergkamp without question - a real superstar at the club. This will split people but I was also happy with David Platt. Sol Campbell wasn't bad either mind!

I also remember when we bought Alan Smith and loaned him back to play for Leicester until the end of the season, he played at Highbury got a massive reception, looked a bit embarrassed and played shit!

Most underwhelming of late must be Silvestre - would have been Squillaci but I didn't know then what we know now!
