Wenger probably didn't want him really, so he threw in a silly shit bid of 3 mil but it got accepted!!! I predict he fails his medical!! Throw enough stupid bids and 1 is bound to stick!!!AFCWozza wrote:Except Arsenal have confirmed to the BBC that the fee will be £3mTeeCee wrote:All the reports are saying 10m for him. Either that or we need an additional striker to offset the departure of Bendter, by all accounts this seems very very good business, look at the influence Park Ji-Sung has on the United squad, lets hope we see a simular impact from our own Parkfranksav63 wrote:Wenger probably didn't want him really, so he threw in a silly shit bid of 3 mil but it got accepted!!! It would seem good business to you wouldn't it!! Wenger could buy a make up composite of Ironside, Douglas Bader and Stephen Hawkings and you would jerk yourself off silly on the strength!!! Anyway, isn't Bentnder still here?? You were probably drooling over him when he was once in Wenger's plans!!AFCWozza wrote:Either that or we need an additional striker to offset the departure of Bendter, by all accounts this seems very very good business, look at the influence Park Ji-Sung has on the United squad, lets hope we see a simular impact from our own Parkfranksav63 wrote:Wenger probably didn't want him really, so he threw in a silly shit bid of 3 mil but it got accepted!!! He's the new Chamakh.AFCWozza wrote:Either that or we need an additional striker to offset the departure of Bendter, by all accounts this seems very very good business, look at the influence Park Ji-Sung has on the United squad, lets hope we see a simular impact from our own Parkfranksav63 wrote:Wenger probably didn't want him really, so he threw in a silly shit bid of 3 mil but it got accepted!!! He's a good player, he's the kind of striker we don't have since Eduardo left. He's a natural goalscorer, and technically very good, good passing as well. So it's a great deal in my opinion, only £3-5m, and he's better than Chamakh. You'll be surprised.
The only problem is that he's from Korea and he's got to do his military service in 2 years or something like that.

yeah was just about to say, Koreans have to do 2 years military service before they turn 30.Vince wrote:He's a good player, he's the kind of striker we don't have since Eduardo left. One of the biggest obstacles for Park to navigate is his obligation to join the military. All able-bodied Korean men are required to perform two years' conscription.
Park, who is currently enrolled as a postgraduate student at Seoul's Korea University, will have no alternative but to be conscripted by the end of 2013 at the latest, when he will turn 28.

PROS
-More jersey sales in Korea
CONS
-Is not Juan Mata
In all seriousness, he seems like a good player. South Koreans are a very industrious people and there's no exception on the pitch. However, this is not the "super quality" I was looking to see us sign AND it might have fucked our relations with Lille.

I read about 'Arsenal signing Park', but then I discovered it's not the guy from Manchester United.
I really have no idea how Wenger can search for a striker and then come up with a guy from Korea who's only scored 26 goals in 103 games in France. Let's give him a chance though, maybe he scores more when he plays in a better team than Monaco.
