board and Kronke out, Usmanov in........

Why would you go to Old Trafford with a depleted team against an inform Championship winning team and think you can out play them and go toe to toe?

He has one way of playing and that don't cut it, he's stayed true to his belief but when it goes wrong like it has been since Feb you simply can't hide behind the old excuses.

It's time to face facts, forget the transfer market, he as a manager has gone stale and his ideas are out dated and stubborn.
Nope sorry I don't buy that, I think Wenger is still quality that's always been there we have never been as successful as we have with him at the helm, we had some good opportunitys today with a poor depleted team, he has brought names in that were unheard of and made them household names, we cannot blame him for loosing them the board should not have allowed them to leave or like in the case of nasri have let them get down to a year left on there contract. I'm not a believer in arsene knows best but truly believe he is an honourable man that lives and breathes arsenal and we all know he would never speak about limitations that the board will place on him.

After reading that I have no interest in reading anything else on this thread  If you still believe wenger is quality then you are either a troll or know fcuk all about football and tbh I dont give a fcuk which

Well until the board give us reason to doubt then I guess it comes down to opinion. And opinions are like arseholes everyone has them.

Wenger said if we sell Frabregas and Nasri we are no longer a big club.. And thats very true,

We sold our best player this year and we have not replaced them with anyone; something sinister is going on at our club.

Unless you are all suggesting Wenger is too stupid to buy a player we clearly need.

Either AW he is very stupid indeed or he is a genius for putting out a team like today's in protest for no money to spend.

Seriously I don't know what's going on at the club any more.

The problem is the waters are muddied and aw has too much power the man has a degree in and is an economist!!! The board love it. As fergie said aw has helped filled the clubbed coffers!!! And that's why he won't get sacked because when it comes to reporting profits were great at it looks great for stocks and shares!!! They all need to go

He PM'd me.... :barscarf: !

And I think he is probably right. Blaming the players is a bit unfair. And a little unfair to blame Wenger 100% for this as well. The Board are supposed to be running the club and they are appointed by Silent (and invisible) Stan. Obvious to me that their main concern has been maintaining income streams rather than on field success.

Well, it's about time they realised that the latter is at least as important as the former and if you don't invest then you can't have either!

Kronk wont leave but we already know he is bad for the club. Usmanov would surely be better.

The board are 100% to blame for not holding wenger accountable for this mess and being to cowardly to axe him but it wasnt the board who sat in the dugout scratching their heads as his empire crumbled beneath him

I see Usmanov is now listed as the single wealthiest person in the uk, with an estimated wealth of 12,400 million ahead of Abramovich on 10,300 million.
If he is genuinely willing to fund the signing of new players, then I feel he is our only hope of ever competing at the top level again.
I would even accept Wenger being given the chance to turn things around were Usmanov to take control of the club. Safe in the knowledge that failure wouldn't be tolerated and Wenger would be sacked.

I think its fantastic that people are finally waking up to the fact that Usmanov is not the root of all evil.

I listened to so much crap about if he took over it would be the end of the world, would leave us bankrupt etc. Err, I don't think so.

Chelsea FC is a debt free business contrary to what many believe. The Russian simply converts the outstanding loans into equity at the end of each year.

Usmanov would not be leveraging the club with debt. Given his personal wealth ask yourself why he would saddle the club with high interest bearing debt....err, he wouldn't.

And we might all get some enjoyment back by watching players of the required calibre to get the club back into the domestic honours and dare I say it "competing with Europe's elite". Dein, for a decade the chief deal broker in English football would return to the board, and Gazidis and his additional £9m in annual wage costs would slope off back to some other "franchise" where he could bore their customers and shareholders with tales of 'rising input costs, macro economic factors and inflationary pressures' whilst offering a patronising smile and mock empathy to us poor, average Joes on the street.

Nope - we'll be waiting for Chelsea, United and City to go bust through their financial doping whilst competing with Villa and Newcastle for a top half finish. But hey at least we'll be "self sustaining"
