I agree totally with this, benayoun is a QUALITY player, i think people who actually play football themselves and actually watch his movement off the ball and his first touch appreciate what he does a bit more, im delighted we've got him on loan.Bergkamp-Genius wrote:.................Chez.....................

goals, replace benayoun with walcott and wilshere or or arteta with frimpong and switch to a ball winning / counter attacking setup, rather than getting into these 4-4 situations

I orignally put Van Persie in my ideal starting XI for us.
But im almost certain its only going to be a matter of time before he gets injured again, a top striker coming in and out of the team all the time is damaging our squad in my opinion. I'd rather have TV as captain and put Chamakh up front on his own and start delivering some crosses for him to get his head onto, this would also make arsene change his style of play to affective crossing instead of unaffective beautiful football.... some of you going on about Chamakh being useless are being very thickle because around this time last year nobody was complaining about him, its not his fault he didn't get the service to score in the second half of last season.
RVP's done what he can and its no good thinking about trophies with a striker that injury prone... we should have sold him this summer just gone when he was fit and teams would have shown interest... In January its time for him to call it a day here i reckon...

It's difficuilt leaving Theo out, because his pace if used properly is such an asset, but both Benni and Gervinho are just better more intelligent footballers than Theo..They are better on the ball, link up better, see things better..overall in a game they are going to be more of an asset than Theo would with his odd ballistic moment...Saying that Theo gives us a great option on the bench if we need to change our approach...
yeah totally agree with that, imagine being a tired opposition after 60-70 mins then having to cope with the speed of a fresh walcott coming on, he would cause big problems without a doubt.Bergkamp-Genius wrote:topcat wrote:I agree totally with this, benayoun is a QUALITY player, i think people who actually play football themselves and actually watch his movement off the ball and his first touch appreciate what he does a bit more, im delighted we've got him on loan.Bergkamp-Genius wrote:.................Chez.....................

I can feel some optimism on this thread (which is a rare thing for this forum) and am surprising myself getting excited too!
I reckon if we maintain most of our players motivated and fit, we could surprise many who wrote us off so early on this season.
I will always believe that we will win something this year (admit am a bit biased), but I can't wait to go to Anfield to batter them and of course can't wait to get a revenge on United, ideally knock them off from CL.
I think we only need a small number of quality players to have a good chance to compete with the top spenders.
Cahill, Vertonghen or M'vila, Hazard or Gotze and ideally Benzema (although it'd take a very good CL run - including beating Real- plus big money to get him).
With these 4 new players, we'd be feared, even by top teams, and we'd turn the Emirates into a fortress.
COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!!!!!

Dont want to bring people back to reality but unless our style of play has changed or at worst we adopt a plan b style , we are fucked
we could have mesi, ronaldo , vidic and terry in the team and it wont make us champions
i hope we go back to playing fast forward direct football. If we have the same shape as when cesc was here we are royally fucked
