Don't know about the UK, but in Canada it's so socially acceptable amongst most younger and middle aged adults that it's silly to bother criminalizing it. Legalize and tax it, free revenue for the government and no one will be complaining.

Legalise the more mild varieties, tax them heavily and have nobody but the Govt allowed to sell them.

Having seen the devastating effects of weed first hand, I voted No.
Its also not only mental illness, but it tends to slow people down, remove their drive and ambition, etc.

Also people are always going to look for the illegal drug, if we legalise it, another drug will replace weed e.g coke will become the more acceptable drug of choice.
Would rather weed become the acceptable illegal drug of choice than coke, etc.

We can't handle alcohol, don't how we can handle another drug being freely available (i mean in shops, etc.)

exactly. and don't allow kids and teenagers to use it. just like alcohol, it can have devastating effects on youngsters, so the same precautions should be considered.

colombia and uruguay have just approved laws regulating the possession of marijuana, in order to reduce crime and violence related to drugs. there are a few countries here in south america going the same way.

i predict a green and smokey future for the american continent  8) :barscarf:
