My next question, and no I am not going to let this one go:
WHAT IS THE POINT OF ARTETA???
Can someone please tell me what this guy offers that Denilson did not. I am being dead serious here.
As for Chamakh? Guys I used to watch this guy at Bordeaux. He was shit then, he has always been shit. People point to the start of his Arsenal career as if to say something has 'gone wrong'. Nothing has 'gone wrong'. Marouane Chamakh has always been shit, that's why Bordeaux let him go on a free. He was made to look very decent at Bordeaux by his (rumoured) boyfriend Gourcuff.
He has always been slow, always had a shocking first touch and always been a poor mover in the area. He is shit. Never saw a single Bordeaux fan shed a tear when he left! What happened is that Chamakh had a slight purple patch for about two months. Then he reverted to his natural level, meaning he couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo unless he was playing Leyton Orient.
Remember please, Michael Ricketts also had a sumptuous run of form at Bolton when he banged in over 15 league goals in six months and got an England call-up.
Where is Michael Ricketts now? Well, last time I heard he got turfed out of Walsall and then couldn't get a game at Tranmere. So you see, the lesosn here is that nothing 'happened' to Ricketts. He was always a shit player who just happened to have a ridiculous purple patch.
Remember that next time you think about Chamakh - who I insist, is not good enough to get a game at West Brom (which one of you would start Chamakh in a league match ahead of Shane Long or Odomwingyie?)
