Player Songs

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Player Songs

Post by SWLGooner »

I reckon we should try and sort out the songs, quite a few players deserve one that haven't got a decent one.

ALMUNIA - No, he doesn't need one.

SZCZESNY - the built my house one is a bit dodgy, I quite like the "Szczesny! Szczesny! Szczesny!" one to the tune of the one the Chavscum sing.

FABIANSKI - doesn't need one.

SAGNA - He's got dodgy hair is a bit crap, needs a proper one especially as he is one of our best players and a top bloke by all accounts.

MERTESACKER - needs a new one or revision of the second line of the Macarena one, we can't go about singing that and it would never catch on, rightfully so.

VERMAELEN - needs a new one, we can't have the same for him as for RVP.

KOSCIELNY - Needs one! He's been really improving and much more consistent, time we gave him a song.

SANTOS - he's got one IMO, the Pigbag one, it's a good tune and nobody else has it in our team.

SQUILLACI - doesn't need one.

DJOUROU - Chim chiminy's a bit shit but more important songs to sort out first.

JENKINSON - I reckon we should play up him being a proper Gooner, so like at the start of this -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkO3poC5liM "he's one of us, he's one of us, he's one of, Jenko's one of us!"

GIBBS - needs a song, hasn't got one.

DIABY - I've got a good idea - Abou, you're a *word censored*! Abou, Abou, you're a *word censored*! What'd you reckon lads?

ROSICKY - Super Tom will do, we will almost never need to sing it.

ARTETA - Follow Follow Follow is good.

RAMSEY - one Aaron Ramsey is fine.

SONG - one Song is fine.

WILSHERE - needs a song IMO

ARSHAVIN - has plenty, three I can think of!

FRIMPONG - I like the Flintstones one and the 'let's all have a singsong, Emmanuel Yaw Frimpong' one

BENAYOUN - Not entirely sure he needs a song if he's only here for a year.

PARK - doesn't have one but it doesn't really matter, if he never plays

VAN PERSIE - needs a proper song big time. I say we give him Na$ri's old one, it fits and all.

WALCOTT - needs a song, he's really stepping up. Something to the tune of Eduardo's old one? IHH and IUFGN, this is your cue...

OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN - he sort of needs one, but again that can wait.

GERVINHO - Gervinho oh oh oh oh oh oh! or the 'always believe in your soul' one to the tune of gold.

CHAMAKH - he has two songs, both very similar but about 6 of us know the second one and it's a bit *word censored*-ish

Always kinda liked the Englishman at Arsenal, sting number.

Gervinihead (that came up in predictive when I typed gerv!!) has a quality one in spandau but I get loads of stick when I start it cos all the mongs drown it out with "we've got gervinihead "

Ffs , be original!

Thing is we've got decent songs for certain players (Oh Vermaelen number 5, an englishman at Arsenal, Gervinho-oh always believe in your soul) but people find it difficult to remember a chant as soon as there's more than 2 words to it...

I think you're wrong. It didn't for Cole and I doubt it will for Gervinho. That's because it's a difficult key to sing in. It's too high pitched and it sounds a bit effeminate to boot!!

plus the fact theyre sung at a million miles per hour makes em hard to catch on.

Can never understand why our song are sung so bloody fast. :?

If some plum starts up Bejesus Said Paddy at 1000 miles an hour, I always feel the urge to deck em. :banghead:
