Santos is a good passer, will get the odd goal and is a strong tackler.
But for a 28 year old he looks positionally suspect and slow as a snail.
I would welcome a new left back in January because of the recurrent injuries to Gibbs.
Santos can fight for his place, be used in the Carling Cup and lower rounds of the FA Cup, and maybe even play left midfield on occasion if we have injuries in that position.

It would be interesting to see if he would play well in midfield in front of gibbs. Gibbs gets forward a lot more than clichy ever did, they may work well on the overlap, or it may prove suicidal defending...which is far more likely in arsenals case but id like to be proven wrong and wonder if it would work.

and i believe he was bought because he can score a goal or 2 too. I like defenders to defend there are plenty of other players on the pitch to score goals just stop the fuckers going in our netBabatunde wrote:Wengernomics: spend money on a left-back but spend it on a fat overweight one because he is cheap. Meaning he is a liability and you have to spend on a new one all over again in the not too distant future.
