Very mixed opinions on this tbh - yes it suggests a poor attitude but the guy is 20 years old so shouldnt he be expecting to be a first team regular and carving out a decent career for himself by now and if he doesnt think it will be with us then he wants to look elsewhere. Lets be honest if you are a decent football with any level of confidence about you (no not bendtner's level of confidence  ) then shouldnt you be looking at some of the guy's above you in the pecking order and wonder why you aint getting a chance ? I never have and never will buy into the concept that song is good enough to be a DM at a club like ours so is coquelin not deserving of a decent chance ? It is my opinion that we feel apart when he was subbed in mancland and he has looked promising enough in a few of the other games I have seen him in as well so he deserves a chance in my book and should certainly be viewed as above diaby and rosicky in the pecking order.

While I dont condone the kid speaking out like this it should also be pointed out that he hasnt done anything different than what chesney did this time last season either

See Young Guns blog - this was taken massively out of context - shocker.

He was promised another season on Loan in France but due to certain players leaving had to stay - so is talking about going back in January.

Done well for us since he came in, nothing wrong with him wanting to improve as a player if you ask me - only one of him and Frimmers can go out on loan mind - id but cockles ahead of Frimpong myself.

His attitude is wrong but when you look at what he has in front of him in the pecking order its not taht hard to see why he feels he should be getting a game.

I mean Alex Song?

And for what its worth Coquelin has performed at a higher level than Song when I've seen him.

I would be sad to see him go, as we need a strong squad, and he has impressed me when he has played.
I think he is better than Frimpong and Eastmond as a midfield ball winner, and of more long term use than Rosicky or Diaby.

Hope these comments are taken out of context?

"Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin is considering walking out on Arsene Wenger's side over his "annoying" lack of first-team opportunities.

The France Under-21 international has been on the periphery of the Gunners first team since he joined from Stade Lavallois in 2008 and impressed when he spent last season on loan in Ligue 1 with Lorient, where he played in 24 league games.

But the 20-year-old has started just two Premier League games this season; the embarrassing 8-2 defeat to Manchester United in August and the 2-1 reverse to Tottenham in October's fiercely-contested north London derby.

The defensive-midfielder has made just five appearances in total for Wenger's side this season and has admitted his lack of action is forcing him to consider his future, with a January move fixed firmly in his mind.

"I thought I had a shot to play so I decided to stay at Arsenal. I played a lot at first, even big games, but when players came back from injury I just disappeared," Coquelin told France Football.

"It is often said that when you are young you have time but I played a whole season at Lorient and now I'm virtually not playing at all. It's annoying. Given my playing time for sure the idea of a departure this winter is in my head."
WTF! Oh! its okay yer feckin' ungrateful twat..we've only trained you and paid you for the past 4 years...why show us any Loyalty...I mean to say, you are rapidly ageing at the grand old age of 20.....

These spolit feckin brats - we need a martin keown on the coaching staff to give these overpaid mamby pamby little pussies a Good Kickin' and to keep em in line!... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Who the fuck is Coquelin?
Oh that's right, some jumped up little piece of shit who's achieved nothing in football and would struggle to displace Christian Poulsen from the Evian side in Ligue 1. Pffft, it's hilarious how a bumch of fucktarded nobodies have been so pampered by the joker Wenger, that they suddenly feel entitled.

Denilson: 'I'm a winner, I need better than Arsenal'. Fuck off.

Bendtner: 'I am not content, I need to go'. No one gives a fuck.

Coquelin: 'I need out'. In other news, my local newsagent has decided to stop selling Mars bars. Who. Gives. A. Fuck?

Coquelin has bags and bags of talent, will be a quality footballer and does need a chance at first team football, was a class act at the Lane earlier on this season.

By all accounts these reports are bollocks anyway.

Baba you are not being at all fair when comparing this kid with denilson and bendtner - those two *word censored* had a bucket load of chances to prove they were good enough and once it became apparent that they werent good enough then most of us wanted them shipped out. This kid has never got a chance at all and tbh if I was in his shoes I would be kicking my heels a bit too - this isnt the Arsenal midfield of old and he doesnt have a PV4 or manu petit in front of him so to not even get a sniff of a decent run in this team must be soul destroying

I agree Augie it's only Alex Thong ahead of him, it's true it shouldn't be that hard to get a game. Then again, if Coquelin can't displace that joke Song, then it's testament to the fact he isn't good enough isn't it? My point is mate: do you hear Welbeck bitch when he doesn't start? Has Sturridge bitched when he ain't played at Chelski? Hold on, has even Jordan Henserson moaned about not playing ahead of fat Charlie Adam at Liverpool?

All of the players I just named are internationals by the way. Coquelin is an absolute nobody, and that's my issue. He's effing mediocre, he was average for Lorient and he'll end up kicking his heels at Sochaux or Troyes soon you watch. I'm sick of these little pussies who keep bitching as if they were somebody? Aren't you?

I know it's 100% Wenger's fault for running a creche. It's just that, I'm all for top players complaining etc. No problems. But it says a lot about what kind of a comedy gig Wenger is running when some little shit who's never even been selected ahead of Alou Diarra (a shocking player) for France, is making demands of a club like Arsenal!

When Lassana Diarra was moaning about not getting games at Arsenal, I sympathised because he was an excellent player who was being overlooked. Coquelin??? Who the fuck is he!!!!

But baba you are writing off coquelin as not being good enough purely cos he is not getting picked ahead of the pedestrian song but are you forgetting who picks the team ? Wenger has a shocking shocking habit of standing by some seriously inept "talent" (almunia, diaby, song, bendtner, denilson etc etc etc  ) so dismissing a player cos the tactically inept and blind clown in charge dont give him a chance is a bit premature imo

It could be worse....it could be Abou who wants to leave. I think that would be the final straw. Diarra was the one who got away....but to lose Abou.....it's too grim to think about
