We've actually played really well. Defending has generally been excellent, midfield have been good too. Oxlaide Chamberlain, Frimpong and Coquelin have been superb. What has cost us is being completely toothless upfront. Chamakh offers nothing and Park has no pace, no strength, no touch.
Without RVP we really have nothing up top whatsoever and it's worrying to say the very least.

WOW.
What's that AMAZING football Arsenal are supposed to play? What is it some morons call it again? Oh yeah erm... 'WENGERBALL'?
I remember the days when Arsenal teams could go from one end of the pitch to the other in 10 seconds and bury it? No longer. If you wanna see that at Arsenal, pay for a ticket to watch Citeh visit.
Another of Arsene Wenger's magnificent ahicevements for this amazing season so far. So to add to the other records of:
- Worst Arsenal league start in over 57 years
- Heaviest Arsenal league defeat in over 120 years
- Worst Spuds NLD record in the PL era
We can now add to that, that Citeh have won at Arsenal for the first time, in any competition, since 1976.
The best part?
The Citeh goal came right in the middle of a 'ONE ARSENE WENGER' rendition form the amazing 'Emirates Experience' mugs (not all Emirates attendees are mugs. The long-standing ST holders are not).
Still. We 'cannot compete with Citeh' and all that etc etc bla bla....

I don't disagree with a lot of what you say but the atmosphere tonight has been a million times better than the usual crowd ever produce. Credit to them for that, regardless of what they were singing.Babatunde wrote:WOW.

I would like to offer an apology. At the start of this season, I wrote off a few Arsenal players. Amongst them were Chamakh, Park Choo Young (who I had watched several times at Monaco), Gervinho, Mertesacker, Benayoun and Djourou.
I would like to right here and now, offer my apologies because it appears I was wrong when I described all of these players as 'pants'.

Worthing I agree with you mate. Atmos does sound very good indeed. Only thing is mate, it grinds my gears when mugs sing that 'ONE ARSENE WENGER' song. It's a joke.worthing_gooner wrote:I don't disagree with a lot of what you say but the atmosphere tonight has been a million times better than the usual crowd ever produce. 80 minutes before Citeh get a shot on target. I think our defence and midfield have been decent and in Coq, the Ox and to a lesser degree Frimpong and Miquel we might finally have some youngsters coming through, but we look toothless up front.
Couldn't agree more about the corners. Whoever we have taking them can't seem to clear the first man. What are the coaches doing? We're so shit that we'd be better off taking them short.
