The REAL reason for Szczensy's singing post match!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I'm amazed that one didn't catch on. :? :? The melody is well known by most fans, is catchy, not too full of words and - as far as I know - not used by any other clubs' fans!! What else do people need? :banghead: :banghead:
I think it's that most people who go to Arsenal home games (and the majority of the RED section, although it is better there) simply consider themselves 'too cool' to jump up and down while singing a song, and it's not really one you can sing sitting down without feeling like a bit of a plum (believe me, I've tried).

Also, not exactly been much impetus to sing it for a while :banghead:

I've sung it at quite a few away games. Never heard it at the Conglomerates though.

I've heard it about twice, normally just sounds like DUFFMAN or the Noise on their jacks though :?

Nick, is Simon Ok with your very early post? I'd be mega pissed off if I was him.

Oh and he is a big fucking German.

Problem is that for most foreigners "fuck" and all its derivatives have only a sexual or negative meaning. He probably thinks we're insulting him.

Can't see why he would not be; the two of us are doing the same thing to each other on various sites so if he wants to complain he hasn't really got a leg to stand on. :?

I don't know if there is a problem but I was a bit taken aback by the 5th post on the thread. I know you guys have some extreme banter so I'm probably wrong but my immediate reaction was "whoah".

Yeah see how you could see it but you got it right there is definitely extreme banter which has no boundaries at all. Hope you understand Sir Chips.

Come on Chippy, I'm not trying to be a *word censored*, I was just poking fun at Jay for doing essentially the same thing I do, and something we all do to some extent... ... And as far as I'm concerned our FB 'argument' is a reasoned respectful debate so I can't see how that's 'sad'. Question for those on here who know me personally; I'm not trying to be a dick to anyone, but I'm quite stressed at the minute (personal issues coursework family troubles not a great combo) but I seem to be offending people left right and centre when I want to do exactly the opposite... Has my time changed, have I become more pugnacious and objectionable, or is it just a string of unpleasant coincidences.

I understand, but of course we overmod on here. However, I can tell you that if some of the stuff that appears on FB appears on here we will have to delete it. Anyway do you fancy a date?

Oh yeah, Chippy; it is a bit less 'extreme' when you take into account Simon not being Jewish tbf.

Yeah I understand that, and of course it doesn't help that SWL and I are not in the clique.

A date...ooohh. Whens your next game?
