As much as people get on AA23's back on here he has a good football brain and one of the few in the squad who can pick out the killer passes.

I would play him more rather than less.
Funny you should say that, I think it was Orbinho the stats guy who said that he has the joint highest number of assists this season in this Arsenal side on 12 along with RVP, which is impressive seeing as he always plays shit

Good to get the win, but fuck me we don't half huff & puff, I just don't see where the goals are coming from. Any news on what was up with TV?

say what you like about arshavin, but that ball is phenomenal. great timing, perfect weight, and a quality strike from robin.

get in 8)

We all know Arshavin has that sort of class in him. He just doesn't do it enough, lacks the application and desire too often.

Exactly.
He's 24 guys.

Finishing you learn between the ages of 10 and 15.

Can't do it now, never will.

When there was talk of us going for Gervinho in the Summer I had a look on U tube, and said on these pages, that he made some decent runs etc but the clips barely contained a goal.

Our back up strikers can't score, our attacking wide players don't score often enough and our midfield doesn't contain much of a goal threat. I was anti TH coming back but now I'm keeping my fingers crossed he can chip in with a few goals. And as much as I truly hate saying it, that's where the Scum have an advantage as they've a number of players scoring and decent options on the bench in Defoe etc.

He is young give him time.

Also remember, once Ade Akinbiyi and Francis Jeffers sort their respective finishing, they will be top-level ballers! Because they get on the end of chances, it's just errrm....the finishing bit that lets em down!

I would also suggest you show some patience with Henry too please. He is young and needs time to adapt to the pace of this league. Give him about two months THEN you'll see how immense it will all be!

Keep the Faith for 2012!!!!

Arsene Knows

Do you actually remember what I said about Gervinho when he signed?
I said that at Lille he was incredibly inconsistent, and was incredibly clumsy with his first touch, and had no regularity in his game. I said that at £11 mil it was a piss-take price and that Hazard is clearly the quality player there; and that we were getting the poor man's Hazard.
As usual though, the AKBs were out en masse to shut that suggestion down.

Needless to say, I stand vindicated.

BUT, Arsene has a habit of turning average journeymen from Ligue 1 into quality. Look at Chamakh. So give Gervinho a chance and he will soon be ripping it up. Trust in Arsene. Show some patience FFS...

No, I'll think you'll find that those of us who had actually watched Gervinho knew exactly what we were getting and adjusted our expectations accordingly.
My opinion on Gervinho has not changed since the say we signed him, he is a totally "meh" player, horrifically average. Off the top of my head I can't think of a worse one on one finisher...

For a team who's emphasis is now on the wide players we really do have shit wingers, Walcott was awful, Arshavin made good with his pass but he was also awful and Gervinho was Gervinho.

I have a soft spot for QPR, my girlfriend and her mum have season tickets, I feel a bit embarrassed tonight as thought they deserved more even though we are supposed to be superior, still, a win is a win, we sneak into 4th as Chelsea are even more shit and with United losing and Spurs drawing it turned into a good day even if we are slow, predictable, one dimensional and a bit shit.

Thank fuck for van Persie.

One decent pass is all. Arseshavin is piss.
Gervinho seems just as bad. Doesn't seem to know what hes doing.
Walcott getting worse by the game.

I'd say TH14 even at his age has gotta be better than any of them useless *word censored*

gervinho is at least direct, and can hold up the ball. his final ball isn't always always right, but at least he's always positive, and gets us up near the opposition box.

i know i'm clutching at straws a bit but there's far worse players in the squad that deserve abuse before gervinho

I rate Gervinho more than many do if he learned proper finishing he would be quality...
