I do think that Theo's Swansea goal and RVP's Norwich goal are differnce types of chips. These are more one-on-one's and raising it over the floored/diving keeper. Still a chip but not in the terms a long range chip.

We now have 3 terms:
* Chip * Lob * Scoop
A chip is where the ball is on the floor and you dig it out. Like a toe punt to lift the ball in the air. RVP tried one of these a couple of months ago but hit the post unfortunately.
A lob is where the ball is up in the air already and you just have to lift it over the keeper - i.e. Pires v Villa.
I would say a scoop is where you hold your foot under the ball, and literally scoop the ball up in a flicking motion to lift it over someone else.
Wrighty's chip against Lukic/Leeds around 95/96 was class. Proper dug it out at what seemed to be an impossible angle and John didn't move. The look on his face was priceless.
