Ponderous midfielder with fuck all positional sense. Very thick footballer. His haircut also pisses me off.

Sounds like a cross word clue: 6 Down - 'Cameroonian Arsenal Player'.

If the clue was meant to be for 6 Down you'd probably have to write the answer further up at 3 Across, woefully out of position.

On top of all his footballing ineptitudes and constant lunges foward like he's Redondo or Guardiola and leaving Arteta basically f*cked for 60' every game, is his attitude that bugs me the most, to me he's always the 1st to go desperate and erratic, focus and powerless everytime we play a little off.

Very true. Imo one of the worst things about us is that the players are terrible at understanding that they're not going to control 90 minutes of every match and that sometimes we need to dig in and ride out periods of the match. Whenever we're under pressure in a game we almost always concede. The coaching staff shoulder a lot of the blame but gormless players like Song who have absolutely no ability to read a football match are equally guilty.

Still not sure if I like him or don't.

But I think at the end of the day, if you take out some amazing finishes making his passes look good, he's not a very reliable defensive midfielder. And he probably makes the rest of the midfielders work a lot harder due to his often irresponsible ventures forward.

Arteta's level headed experience has been a massive lift alongside Song. I think his improved performances this year are largely the result of Arteta protecting him.

Not sure he got above jogging pace all afternoon and there was a massive gap between our midfield and back 4 all afternoon that a more ambitious side would have exploited.
