Can I be the first to say that if RvP does sign a new contract it'll be like a new signing! :barscarf: :barscarf:

From RVP speech at some award thing tonight

"whatever happens with me, I will always feel a Gunner"

For me that sounds like he's heading in the way out. Doubt CL and a few signings will change that. Just gets more depressing each summer transfer window

Oh and my renewal came through the post, £45... Fuck off

What he's saying isn't really as bad as that quote makes it sound.

If Citeh Madrid or Barca want him he's off end of.There is no way he will turn them down. Not when he looks where we are now and what our chances of winning the EPL and the CL in the next four years.Remember Wenger will still be our manager

You think so? City will offer 30m and Wenger says "No I don't like you any more!"?

from what ive heard and been told, arsenals stance is one of they would rather let his contract run down and get another year out of him before doing business with city again.

Yeah, Arsenal are refusing to deal with City now. Wenger's been pretty pissed off with the way they've acted in the past.

Also do they need him? Tevez-Aguero wont be shifted out, Balotelli is his pet project. Dzeko perhaps will go, but will RVP be 4th choice? I don't think he'll go there.

Arsenal just need to ask him what he's doing. If he says he's off, sell him before the Euros so we can start rebuilding. We cannot have another farce like last summer.

Wenger has spent forever bitching about Citeh's "financial doping" whilst at the same time, using them as his personal bank. Full of shit, please.

RVP question for me is a simple equation: given his age, and the numerous years he has been at Arsenal, can he fulfill his career ambitions in what will be his last big contract?

Now. Wenger has won nothing in Seven years. He's preferred to arrogantly lose players like Cesc, Henry, Vieira and Nasri so he could prove to the whole world his theory was correct. Instead, it's seen Arsenal deteriorate so appallingly to the level that most agree, it's the worst Arsenal team of the past 15 years.

Arsenal's rivals ate Spuds, and Newcastle.

Now. If RVP takes a quick look at the three first teamers who left Arsenal last summer, what will he see?

1. Cesc Fabregas won three trophies. Might not be the biggest but they are trophies. Cesc also played in a CL semi, sthg Robin has never done, and Cesc has come out and said he's learnt tactical sides of the game he never even knew existed while he was at Arsenal.

2. Samir Nasri. He's steadily become a very influential player for Citeh. Again, yet another player who left Arsenal and claimed that he has learnt far more about the tactical side of the game, sthg he couldn't get under Wenger. Nasri is playing with better players, and is on the verge of picking up a league title. Oh he also earns £170k a week.

3. Gael Clichy. What happened to the liability we used to watch at Arsenal? He's been one of the best left backs in the league this season. Amazing what solid tactical defensive coaching can do to a player eh? :rubchin:
Clichy at Citeh is on the verge of also picking up a league title.

So you see, RVP is no fool. His career is not best served staying at Arsenal. If its just a comfort zone where he walks into the team every week and isn't pushed for competition, and earns big money then he'll stay.

But Robin is a fighter and a winner.
Winners have no business at a club where manager and fans celebrate 3rd place, and where finishing above Spuds is the highlight of the season!

RVP will go. Podolski ain't enough to change a whole failing club mentality where seven years have passed and nothing works. Robin can see that. And if he looks at those who've left, they're ALL better off in their new clubs.

Fully expect a £30 mil deal to Citeh to be confirmed at the eleventh hour on August 29th, after we've already dropped points in the league...

Money talks if Citeh offer anything over £35m for a player going into the last year of his contract we will sell

As for RVP not getting into the Citeh side in front of Tevez Aguero and Balotelli dream on we heard the same shit last season about Cesc sitting on the Barca bench.

i actually beleive myself that this will be an henry type scenario.

"The Golden handshake" is part of the offer on the table. I think he will sign this deal wait to see if we anything next term and then be off the following summer if we dont.
