Lap of Honour

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

You could tell the majority of them didnt want to do it as they were p**d off/disheartened/embarrassed etc. The fans felt the same.

There is no hunger there to win titles. That comes from the top. That comes from Wenger. 4th is good enough and the players know it. How do you expect them to be motivated to win the title? It makes no difference to their wages and even the boss isn't setting winning trophies as a target. If your boss at work asks you to hit an income target of "x", you hit it, or you're out of a job. If the title is not a target, why are we surprised that there is no desire to win it. This team bottles it repeatedly when the chips are down. It is not a one-off, it's a 20-30-off. It happens so often you have to question the team's professionalism. Being a professional sports-person is about winning. This team (barring 4-5) are not winners. It's one big mess. It will not change until Wenger leaves.
Absolutely spot on. Until Wenger leaves it will be more of the same.

It is beyond belief that there are still people who think Wenger will deliver. Truly astonishing. Cannot even sort out our defence.

Didn't everyone stay to give them a thunderous ovation at the end? You mean to say that people are not satisfied that we're two points ahead of Newcastle after 37 games - bloody hell, how ungrateful can you get.

Who knows if sign Nick Powell and some more suqer quality from Auxerre and Monaco, we might challenge for the title until at least the end of September next season. Real fans have patience you know

you are forgetting one small fact - that he IS delivering.
3rd place with one game to go is fantastic, never thought that this season would be so good and it will only get better next season
