FRIMPONG

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I have nothing against Frimpong (altho I hate this Dench stuff), but stand by what I think that for those of us that did stay for the lap he could have waiting a minute before looking at his phone, thats all.

And the players are role models for our kids and therefore need to think before they tweet (he is not the only one guilty of this). However quickly you remove the tweet its always too late. Chesney stopped tweeting as he said he had to "grow up" and focus on his game.

Hopefully we can get this thread to 9 pages - one for every starting appearance that our 'cult (check spelling) hero' has made in his Arsenal career.

I understand Basil. I stayed behind as well and its nice to think it was appreciated. I don't think he was being disrespectful, the guy absolutley loves the club. Perhaps a moment of just checking something quickly. We're all guilty of that.

Don't worry your not the only one, I'm only 24 and I don't know what dench means...... Maybe I'm getting old...... Or maybe I'm just naive :? Anyway I don't want to wear dench clothes or dench aftershave, or a dench watch. If you want to be Jay-Z then go make rap songs otherwise just concentrate on football.

HAve to admit I took to liking denchy bro - that's his name official like maaan - from now on - when he steamed in on nasri goofyfatdyke - and so I think he can be useful to us - when we need to munch or cripple (not in the truest sense of the word obviously) an opponent - just let him loose in mid-field. :high5: :barscarf:

i'd just ignore until he reaches 50 games, then we can tell if he another song or Diaby or not.

he seems a bit of a tit, but if he plays well for us then fair enough - another sammy nelson ?

The point for me is that Frimpong is everything that is wrong with the modern young footballer; he has achieved exactly fuck all in the game, but he's on the Soccer AM, he's promoting his stupid catchphrase, promoting his line in clothing, hanging out with rappers, getting cosy with the media, promoting his "personailty", becoming a celebrity.

WTF happened to training and learning the game and getting good at it and becoming a successful player, winning stuff etc? When did all of that become secondary to being a celebrity?

Fucking idiot. :banghead:

He also doesn't go out, get pissed, fall out of clubs, get arrested, fuck someone elses girlfriend, cheats, drink drives, uses racist language or refuses to play. THAT is what is wrong with modern football. Not some kid trying to start a T-Shirt business.

He's a nobody who's barely kicked a ball in the game but yet he's already the Charlie big bollocks. It's quite symptomatic of what an absolute joke Arsene Wenger FC now is, with imbecile sheep fans legitimising such ridiculous behaviour.

Examples of this are aplenty.
Look at Alex Song, a mediocre second rate footballer, who has been announced top quality by a group of mindless Gooners who've baptised him "Songinho". Then they're surprised when he costs the team a la Norwich

Or look at loudmouth Chesney.
"One of the best in the league" we were told by the Emirates sheep. "better than Krul".
No he bloody well ain't. If our unambitious fans took a minute to look at the facts, they'd see that Chesney has a shots to saves ratio of 64% only. That's the fourth LOWEST in the league!
Oh but Chesney is the dog's testies do let's suck him off (cos he's better than Almunia) and let him give another loudmouth interview. Then we can forgive him when he rolls a ball into his own net again a la Norwich, or plays like a tosser in a cup final, a la Brum...

Plenty of other examples abound. Remember the cult worship of Eboue?
Although to be fair, Eboue is better than the Ivorian Tony Daley ( Gervinho)

It's funny though cos I don't see young players who've achieved nothing in the game behaving like this under Fergie, Pep or Jose. When Piqué (an established player) and Alves started mucking about under Pep, see what happened.
Arsene's crèche FC. Wenger is an absolute joke and if he had any control, he'd clamp down on such nonsense.

Agreed. Why abuse our own players?

The only thing you have going there is Scznenzy. I've accepted that he isn't as good as he or others gooners believe he is. Maybe because he followed the calamity almunia, but Scnenzy has massive holes in his game, positioning firstly and then shot stopping.

You have no basis to this. How does he think he's the big bollocks? Again he's simply selling T-Shirts. He's not arrogantly professed anything, or even suggested he is better than he is. A lot of people have claimed this not just you Baba, but I'ld like to be given an example of this. The DENCH thing was something that caught on with his twitter followers and he played up, but it has no relation to his attitude or football ability.

The Fergie thing is also bollocks. You could easily draw the same comparison with Wenger shipping bad eggs like Pennant and Bentley out.

I think people also need to remember what you were like as a teenager. It seems most people here were born mid 40s with all this faux moralising.
