That was a wheely good answer (Roly). Does your back-ground in the legal profession have any bearing on the reason for you steering this argument into a head-on collision with GoonerEd?augie wrote:Throwing you under the wheels wouldnt be the worst idea ever

no chance of that fb cos gooner ed only has a weak engine and will turn off down a tunnel of silence no doubt to rendevous with gazidis at the other end.
in seriousness, gooner ed is a con man and a disgrace and certainly has little concern for the welfare and best interests of his readership.

Re: cost of Silver membership goes up again
Perhaps I'm biting again, but I refuse to allow the forum to be used as a vehicle for people to post abusive and unsubstantiated messages about people associated with The Gooner, who give up large amounts of their time for comparitively little reward. That's why one of the forum rules is that anything which is deemed could potentially damage the reputation of The Gooner will result in the remark being edited and/or the user being warned or banned.
If rolypoly is simply WUMing then that is also against the rules. Either way, he's been banned.
I've left the comments alone because I think people can make up their own mind, but I will say that having known Kevin for almost 25 years I trust him implicitly and feel that it's incredibly harsh for someone who describes himself as an "honest lawyer", but does not know Kevin to make remarks calling into question his integrity. Criticism is one thing and by all means disagree with the stance Kevin has taken if you wish, but do it constructively rather than call him a "con man".
Last year I invited rolypoly to contribute a piece about Gazidis for the website or the fanzine, but he has yet to take up the offer.

Best news I've had all day, his constant remarks regarding Gooner Ed were out of order.Mike1 wrote:Perhaps I'm biting again, but I refuse to allow the forum to be used as a vehicle for people to post abusive and unsubstantiated messages about people associated with The Gooner, who give up large amounts of their time for comparitively little reward. Re: cost of Silver membership goes up again
I've only just opened my Silver membership renewal letter today. I love the little message in the inside cover from Lord Wenger:
"The season has however not been without its challenges. We have had some difficult spells which have tested our character but I have always been impressed with the attitude of the players. The way they have responded has been exceptional and is proof of the quality and mental strength that we have in our squad"
And so say all of us - that warrior like, fighting spirit that has seen over the line comfortably despite having to play the might of Wigan, Chelsea Reserves, Stoke and Norwich in recent weeks. Give me a pint of that 'mental strength' stuff

Have people got season ticket renewals yet ? I spoke to someone who said they had got theirs but I still haven't ... I did think they were going to do them earlier this year

Has anyone contacted the club to complain about the hike in the silver price or are people's gripes confined to cyber space?
