Great player for one season for us but there is a reason he is called Flamoney. You cant mug the club off and come crawling back, were Arsenal ffs.

Did he really go for money though? Or was it the fact that he was dropped for every final we had got to where he played most of the other games. The CL Final being a prime example of it, where he was tremendous at LB in the run up, and then was dropped.

Let's not forget we tried to shift him to Brum the summer before. I don't blame him for going

No thanks, getting fucked over by French midfielders holding us to ransom is enough, why would we take one back?

Cole the best left back in the world at the time or close to it or a Central midfielder filling in at that role. No contest really like.

No.

Another player who has found out the grass isn't greener.

(Unless less the green referred to is 'cash' of course)

He only got his move to Milan because he had an outstanding game when we played them in the CL, they paid him all that money based on that one performance.

Nonsense. Flamini had done brilliantly well, and is part of a defence that has a CL record. Cole played in only 1 game in that run. Flamini deserved his place

He had done well but you cant really tell me that you would have played him ahead of the best player or top 3 minimum at his position in the world. That defies logic and is like saying you would play Coquelin or Diaby ahead of Sagna(not saying he is the best in the world) in the same circumstances.

If they had played 10 games in that competition and kept 10 clean sheets then yes I would. You should earn your place in the team, and Flamini had earnt his right to play. It cost us anyway due to Cole being shit that game.

No. Would be a squad player at best, and we don't need to pay another one of those 50k a week.

At the time there was a lot of speculation whether Wenger would start with Flamini who had played in the competition, or Cole who had just come back from injury and was expected to be leaving in the summer.

I expected Wenger to go with Cole and understood why, but it was no formality that Cole would be the one chosen.
