New Driver

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Cheers for all your good wishes Gentleman. While he was a provisional driver we got him insured with a company who put a GPS box in the car to monitor when he drives. Not allowed to drive at night so keeps premiums down but still well over a grand!!! But IF he can get to the first anniversary as a no claims driver whilst a Provisional and Full license holder then he'll be on his way to a cheaper premium. Some of the boxes monitor your driving style as well but they're too much of a risk really unless you're a vicar!
Basically the insurance industry don't want to insure 17-25yr olds

I'd like to know how that goes mate. Is it with Co-op? Because when I was looking around they told me about that new scheme.

I would never check out the Go Compare site. I wouldn't want to give my business to any company which annoys the shit out of me with their crappy adverts featuring a fat opera singer.

It must be a nightmare for people who have recently passed the test. They are an unknown to the the insurance companies (glorified bookies) and are screwed into paying huge premiums. Some will take the chance of driving without insurance. Bad news for everyone.
Saw this on my way to work Olgit, thought you'd like it hahah
