Welcome to The Arsenal, Olivier Giroud

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Trouble is little and Large were utter shyte. :D

Perhaps Laurel and Hardy or Morecambe and Wise might be more suitable
A more Goonerish combination might be Cannon and Ball?

But you can't measure every signing to Chamakh, you pay peanuts, you get monkies.

He came for free, that in itself is a clue as Wenger refused to pay a fee for him, Giroud has cost a lot of money in Arsenal terms, again that's another clue.

He may take time to settle like Gervinho or he may hit the ground running.

I wouldn't dream of comparing every signing to Chamakh and like everyone else I am hoping that Giroud does the business. I just have reservations about some of AW's more recent transfer activity which includes Gervinho. As for AW's refusal to pay a fee for Chamakh - master tactician or just a grippy bastard. :rubchin: Know which one I'd go for gents :D

If I were you Olivier I'd be checking the small print on that contract because I'm pretty sure you didn't sign up for a club going down the toilet. At least you'll get a decent wedge before heading off to a club with ambition.

I don't see where all these criticisms of Giroud have come from? He hasn't kicked a ball for us yet :banghead: I bet these were the same people who said "Thierry who? Bloody hell, what's he doing signing this French nobody?"

Give him time before you slate him. Same with Podolski.

Hope he proves me right, I'm still slightly optimistic about next year, attacking wise anyway. I genuinely think if we sign a DM and a few defenders then we'd have a good squad :barscarf:

I'm not looking forward to come March when all the AKB's will be saying....''but he'll come good next season'' or ''he'll do better next season'' the same possibly for Podoski, let's hope the forehead comes good this coming season as they were all saying exactly the same thing about this useless waste of space too.

Would that be the French nobody who had just scored 3 goals in the world cupfinals whilst playing as a winger?
