The point was lets hope he doesn't turn out to be another Chamakh and trust me thats an excellent point.rigsby wrote:These Chamakh comparisons are nonsense. Every player is different

But you can't measure every signing to Chamakh, you pay peanuts, you get monkies.
He came for free, that in itself is a clue as Wenger refused to pay a fee for him, Giroud has cost a lot of money in Arsenal terms, again that's another clue.
He may take time to settle like Gervinho or he may hit the ground running.

Re: Welcome to The Arsenal, Olivier Giroud
I wouldn't dream of comparing every signing to Chamakh and like everyone else I am hoping that Giroud does the business. I just have reservations about some of AW's more recent transfer activity which includes Gervinho. As for AW's refusal to pay a fee for Chamakh - master tactician or just a grippy bastard.Gunnersaurus wrote:Jock Gooner wrote:The point was lets hope he doesn't turn out to be another Chamakh and trust me thats an excellent point.rigsby wrote:These Chamakh comparisons are nonsense. Re: Welcome to The Arsenal, Olivier Giroud
If I were you Olivier I'd be checking the small print on that contract because I'm pretty sure you didn't sign up for a club going down the toilet. At least you'll get a decent wedge before heading off to a club with ambition.Jock Gooner wrote:What odds would you likeDarylAFC wrote:Not impossibleHenry Norris 1913 wrote:ok Olivier, looks like your going to have to score 20 goals next season with RVP off. your fucked![]()
Re: Welcome to The Arsenal, Olivier Giroud
So it looks like we will start next season with the French Andy Caroll as our main striker, thank Arsene you

Re: Welcome to The Arsenal, Olivier Giroud
from denmark, welcome to our club.....remember, no one is bigger than the club, rvp....someone is actually wanting to play for us, rvp....
Re: Welcome to The Arsenal, Olivier Giroud
I don't see where all these criticisms of Giroud have come from? He hasn't kicked a ball for us yet
I bet these were the same people who said "Thierry who? Bloody hell, what's he doing signing this French nobody?"
Give him time before you slate him. Same with Podolski.
Hope he proves me right, I'm still slightly optimistic about next year, attacking wise anyway. I genuinely think if we sign a DM and a few defenders then we'd have a good squad

Re: Welcome to The Arsenal, Olivier Giroud
I'm not looking forward to come March when all the AKB's will be saying....''but he'll come good next season'' or ''he'll do better next season'' the same possibly for Podoski, let's hope the forehead comes good this coming season as they were all saying exactly the same thing about this useless waste of space too.

Re: Welcome to The Arsenal, Olivier Giroud
Would that be the French nobody who had just scored 3 goals in the world cupfinals whilst playing as a winger?DarylAFC wrote:I don't see where all these criticisms of Giroud have come from?
