Exactly, Chelsea had a poor season in the league and have acted to address the problems, we were all laughing at how poor and old last years chav team was and yet they still Won the champions league!augie wrote:rigsby wrote:Are they? For me Chelsea's problems still exist.
I not saying that they don't have problems but what I am saying with absolute certainty is that they are making real strides to remedy those problems. They are making a real effort to bring down the age of their team by offloading dogbreath, malouda and boswinga and are bringing in much younger players who have the best years of their career ahead of them and who will be blended in with a squad with real experience. Really if they squeeze the racist and the pie munching c**t out of their team then IMO they will have a right good battle with the manc clubs
Last season Drogs carried them in the cups - he's gone, the greatest player in the history of the clubaugie wrote:I not saying that they don't have problems but what I am saying with absolute certainty is that they are making real strides to remedy those problems. we might lose RVP - who wouldn't make top 4 strikers Wenger has managed
we've sold better players than RVP and they've fired better managers than RDM
yes RVP was quality last year (still scored his fair share of tap-ins that I'd always expect Giroud or Podolski to put away)augie wrote:Drogba may have carried them in the cups but in the league he only scored 5 goals (a tally that was equalled by the little guy from tv show Different Strokes.....ramires). The guy was clearly on the decline and as their system continues to evolve he was going to be more on the fringes. Compare that to rvp......this is a guy that practically carried our team on his own last season and without him it is doubtful that we would have qualified for europa league much less the champs league. It isnt the fact that wenger has managed better in the past but it is measured by the importance of each player to their teams right now and in that way we will suffer far more if rvp goes than they will with dogbreath leaving them

4 mil profit? practically the most we can expect from dross like himDeise Gooner wrote:Vela to Socidedad €5m done deal apparently:shock: What a waste of time buying him was.
Never really been given a chance in the first team so i cant judge him really. He has flashed brilliance but thats it. It seems to be our policy to play the numbers game with youngsters and hope a small few make it through to the first team and sell the rest for small profits rather than buying in experienced players hwo have no resale value.Henry Norris 1913 wrote:4 mil profit? practically the most we can expect from dross like himDeise Gooner wrote:Vela to Socidedad €5m done deal apparently:shock: What a waste of time buying him was.
