I not saying that they don't have problems but what I am saying with absolute certainty is that they are making real strides to remedy those problems. They are making a real effort to bring down the age of their team by offloading dogbreath, malouda and boswinga and are bringing in much younger players who have the best years of their career ahead of them and who will be blended in with a squad with real experience. Really if they squeeze the racist and the pie munching c**t out of their team then IMO they will have a right good battle with the manc clubs

Last season Drogs carried them in the cups - he's gone, the greatest player in the history of the club
we might lose RVP - who wouldn't make top 4 strikers Wenger has managed

we've sold better players than RVP and they've fired better managers than RDM

Drogba may have carried them in the cups but in the league he only scored 5 goals (a tally that was equalled by the little guy from tv show Different Strokes.....ramires). The guy was clearly on the decline and as their system continues to evolve he was going to be more on the fringes. Compare that to rvp......this is a guy that practically carried our team on his own last season and without him it is doubtful that we would have qualified for europa league much less the champs league. It isnt the fact that wenger has managed better in the past but it is measured by the importance of each player to their teams right now and in that way we will suffer far more if rvp goes than they will with dogbreath leaving them

yes RVP was quality last year (still scored his fair share of tap-ins that I'd always expect Giroud or Podolski to put away)
but it's possible to overplay him 'carrying' us - last minute undeserved winners are only possible if you aint losing
for me Cesc was a better player yet our best finish with him was 4th
RVP wasn't able to 'carry' us when Arteta was missing (did we win a game without him?)
Wilshere could well play 75% of the season, nobody want to hear LANS but he was our best player season before last
with Tets/Song in front of Kos/Verm + BFG backup our defensive numbers where far better

we play progressive attacking football and if an extra pass is on its taken
playing every week in that kind of side a decent Championship level striker gets over a dozen goals

Arteta was without doubt a crucial player for us last season and we missed him shockingly for the run in last season - however you cite rvp's drop off as a by product of that whilst I would suggest that it was more to do with simple fatigue because this was his first ever present season since he joined us (and probably since he became a pro). When you play in a team that is struggling and are dependent on your goals that is a whole pile of pressure and when you are also captain of that team then it could only add to the pressure and I would suggest that in the last two months of the season he was mentally and physically knackered

Hope that includes a sell on fee. I got a feeling he will be a Rossi or a Forlan. The guy was a major dissapointment for us but he is talented. Just wished he worked harder.

Never really been given a chance in the first team so i cant judge him really. He has flashed brilliance but thats it. It seems to be our policy to play the numbers game with youngsters and hope a small few make it through to the first team and sell the rest for small profits rather than buying in experienced players hwo have no resale value.

Sky Sources say rvp will not go on tour to asia next week and then in the next instance

Sky Sources say rvp could yet sign a new contract, talk about covering your bets
