RVP from The Colney Creche to Carrington? Myles Palmer style

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Different responsibility and expectations of success. What a shock to the system this could be for Robin.
It obviously depends on the person, but in Robin Van Persie's case, I see no reason why a move to United would phase him.

He seems to be a very focused, determined player, and when coupled with talent and confidence, will surely make any move within the premiership pretty seamless.

He's hungry to win and that runs through the club at United, so I'd say they're a perfect match.

If you were asking about a more arrogant, lazy player like Arshavin or Bendtner, then yes I think it would be a shock to the system joining United, and they'd have to change their attitude sharpish, but not Cesc or RvP.

I'd also be interested to see how Alex Song got on under Mourinho or Fergie, because I doubt either of them would put up with his indisciplined Arsenal performances. That said, they'd teach him how to play his role properly... something I don't think he has the benefit of at Arsenal. :?

I for one do not bow down to Myles Palmer as if he is some sort of demi-god. I do, however, find much of what he has to say thought provoking and of far more interest than say someone like you.

In terms of what he has said in his criticism of both the manager, the board and many of the players over the last couple of years, I would say he has been pretty much spot on.

Oh no. Now you've gone and hurt my feelings.   On the plus side, it adds weight to my argument that perhaps you should stick to ANR rather than 'less interesting' websites like this one? :rubchin:

So what? It's hardly rocket science!!  Some of us have been doing it on here for over 4 fecking years, long before the 'thought provoking' Palmer starting spouting off about it!! :banghead:
