Lies,lies and more lies

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

when after we lost 8-2 at Old Trafford I came on here confidently predicting that we would finish in the top 4 I gained a reputation as a WUM on here as no one else could believe that this was possible. But of course we still had world class players back then such as Song and RVP so I knew things would turn around. Not so fortunate this season.

also last season I was prepared to give the club a chance after they sold Nasri and Fabregas in August, not thinking they would be so stupid again. We also had not ensured CL qualification so it was very difficult to buy anyone in.

this season I would have thought that with CL qualification assured the club would have tried to strengthen, but no that costs money. Of course they have conned a few people again by buying 3 half decent players, but forgetting to inform anyone that to pay for those we would once again sell our best players as the season started.

we may well make the top 4 again - but is that all this club is capable of aiming for anymore?
The so called 'best/world class players' you say we sold can't be that good 'cos they won us F*ck All! :-P
So get rid and let some others have ago....

It's been said before and as the subject states all footballers, managers, agents, directors blah blah blah tell 'lies, lies and more lies'!
So I've come to accept this, still get agged by it,don't like it, but what can we do...? Not turn up ? Well you can do that Red'throbbing'Member, but I ain't as I like a beer, laugh, banter and a good old shout and rant with me mates down at The Arsenal (and the handful of aways I get to) !!

Why do u expect to be told the truth ?
The Club obviuosly knew RVP was going so they covered that with Giroud.
Similarly they clearly knew Song wanted away so they traded him after securing Carzola.

I get annoyed with tactics ,annual dilution of the talent pool etc etc but what right do we have to be told the truth about the wheeling and dealing ?

you are probably right and in the past it wouldn't matter so much.
the point is when it used to cost a few quid to stand in the North Bank no supporter would be bothered about what the board got up to. Nowadays when the club has the arrogance to charge £70+ for the top matches supporters have a right to know what is going on more.

bar the song being world class remark
and Almunia is better than Chesney and the 8-2 defeat was irrelevant and you can buy beer at half time at the European Cup nights and Song and Walcott are world class players dont forget 'world class' ..... do you want me to go on?
well apart from the complete bullshit i meant....however i'm aware that's scraping the barrel! :blah:

Reading this thread has been very entertaining. I especially like the fact that a certain member believes that they are the only person on here ready to villify the current running of our once mighty club. Keep up the bating guys. :bowing21:

this guy at least has more of an idea what is going on unlike most posters on here who would prefer to stick their heads in the sand.
