Really!!! Have you been to many away matches then?SPARKSY wrote:mattyj3nks wrote:im confused as to why any Arsenal fans would go in a HOME FANS ONLY pub on Sunday when there is a designated away fans pub?!!
Cos some people just want to go their own way and have a few beers............................
All this talk about colours and Stoke fans?? Grow a pair of balls people, trouble outside grounds stopped 20 years ago.
Man city away a couple of seasons ago springs to mind as their was quite a bit of agro afterwards when we trounced em 3-0 and even Barry Bendtner managed to score, which really riled them up (dont blame em, the shame of it all). After the game outside the ground I saw a lad who could have only been 16-17 get one planted on his jaw by a 40 something year old man, for no apparent reason, and right in front of a copper too. Bottles thrown at a group of gooners, and stones thrown at cars. And then their was the 2 delightful gentlemen who actually decided to go out of their way to cross the road and come over to me to tell me they were gonna cut my throat and rape my girlfriend (who was standing right next to me). Delightful; Luckily my 2 friends Mr Stella and Mr Artios had something to say about that.

Im pretty sure everyone else on this forum who’s been to away days has similar stories. Brummies at the CC final anybody?
Anyway as it happens Ive been to Stoke away once but was sat in the home kop end (guest of my in-law whos a potter). I can honestly saw I didn’t open my mouth once during the game as I was basically shit scared. I heard idle threats that they were “gonna stab a cockney bastard” about every 30 seconds. I thought it wise not to say hello to anyone cockney style. “alriiite geeezar”................. *crack* . The potters hate us even more then we hate then. Trust me. Something about us robbing them in the cup, twice, in the 70’s.
Anyway point of the stories are that some away games its probably just best to go in camo gear and blend in with the natives. henry llyod, Stone island, Kappa if in Liverpool etc. I would count Stoke as one of those games really. You’ll thank yourself on the day.
