Re: Lance Armstrong
1) lance armstrong is an amazing individual who has helped THOUSANDS, probably HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS, of people in his career. his fight against cancer and his current charities for cancer research have given people the will power to fight cancer themselves. at one time not so long ago, he was #1 most important american athlete, regardless of the sport he competed in.
2) yes he probably used some kind of performance enhancer in his career, but really, who hasnt?
3) the fact that the media are completely destroying this mans reputation over some performance drug is disgusting.
4) PED's should be allowed to some degree anyway. people want to see the best athletes doing incredible things. so what if they use some enhancer that helps them train just that little bit harder, go that little bit further, pedal a little bit faster. its not like the drug automatically wins the event for them. they still have to be the best at what they do, especially if everyone is doing it.
my opinions anyways.

We all did, mate.

Re: Lance Armstrong
He never tested positive, but the circunstancial evidence + testimony could be overwhelming for him. His crit rates flutuated really badly across the tests and that's not acheivable without taking EPO or something similar.
Thing with cycling is that none of them are remotely clean, they all use steroids and blood transfusions to be competitive in , specially in the 3 weeks tours.
He will be probably striped from his 7 titles and Ulrich, who was found guilty in a similar probe earlier this year, will inherit 3 titles, go figure.
ps. To those that said that Froome could have beaten Wiggins in the TDF, just watch how badly beaten he is being by Purito Rodrigez in la vuelta.

You read that? Ahhh, I thought you were cool man.arseofacrow wrote:http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2012/au ... -armstrong
mmm, that doesn't sound too good.

Unless you meant mmm.
But that sounds good-oh, especially when the Mrs is muttering it with a mouth full of cock.

Where to start?

Now remove the words "sports journalism"....

Re: Lance Armstrong
Loads of those cyclists were at it in the 90s and last decade. It wouldn't surprise me if he was at it and his constant denials only added more fuel to the fire. The authorities seem to have known for years and have waited for something to stick. In my opinion, there is something fake about the man.
Re: Lance Armstrong
It's a bemusing that the guy has been stripped of the seven titles by the american federation on circumstancial evidence. Surely, they need actual factual evidence to find him guilty. It's a bit of a farce.

Re: Lance Armstrong
It's a disgrace to strip him of those titles. Put it this way, if he did dope then you should go back further and question all winners of the tour during the 70s and 80s. Miguel Induran won it five times start on him...."

If you are innocent of something you fight your corner!
Apparently most of his ex teamates have given written statements saying that he was doping.
