But seriously, this guy was pointed out to me back in the 80's. How old was he? Was loved by the locals in Finchley.

a local funeral directors confirmed he had passed, they are arranging the funeral. apparently he went to whittington hospital for some checkups with his sister (he had been quite ill and weak for a while), he collapsed and passed away. he wasn't all that old.flash gunner wrote:Poor bloke had a hard life. terrible shame. such a gentle giant, an all round nice guy who said "the best of luck" to everyone. i dont read facebook often but had a look at the group set up in his memory, the funeral director said he has been inundated with hundreds of calls from people wanting to go to the funeral. much loved.

Was a lovely old guy in Aya Napa back in 2002 that wore an old army uniform and beret. Had a horrific scar from a gunshot wound on his head. Locals and tourists looked out for him.

From memory he had fairly successful spells at Norwich and Man City before it went tits up at the Clarets. Essex lad.
