Walcott. Man I thought we had the mutts nuts when we signed him up.

Gael Clichy. Wasn't even worried when Cole left, thought we had everything and more waiting in the wings.

Which leads me nicely into William Gallas. Thought he was gonna be everything and more and that we most definitely got the best out of the swap plus £5mil.

Me too. With Clichy ready to fill Cashley's boots, I thought Wenger has pulled off a master-stroke in getting Gallas + £5m.

Oh, well. :(

I reckon Clichy was good, but went downhill after that Birmingham game early 2008.

Gael Clichy Clichy was better than Asherley, for a while anyway.

I remember being in the North Bank watching us vs Everton in the League Cup in '04 thinking - "blimey, that Quincy Owusu-Abeyie looks like a top talent".

I was wrong.

Wow, so many

-I was delighted that we'd signed Julio Baptista and expected big things after his four at Anfield

-After Arshavin got four at Anfield I said on the way back from the game he was going to be an as influential signing as Bergkamp and we should build the team around him

-I thought we would dominate English football for years to come after winning the league in 2002...sadly it didn't last as long as I thought.

-I got very excited about the future potential of Theo Walcott/David Bentley/Jermaine Pennant/Jose Antonio Reyes

-I could never understand why Kevin Campbell never got picked for England (to be fair I was only eight)

-I was convinced we were going to beat Barcelona in 2006 to be crowned champions of Europe. Losing didn't cross my mind until Lehmann got sent off.

Was wrong to think the FA shouldn't have waded into the Terry case after the court verdict: nice to see somebody in an official capacity brand him the scummy little lying Chav that he is.

On a related note, this was just tweeted off Ashley Cole's account:

"Hahahahaa, well done #fa I lied did I, #BUNCHOFTWATS"

Presuming he doesn't claim it was somebody else hacking or whatever, how many games do we reckon he's getting?

That fucker with the Derek Hales beard for Benfica trashed that dream. Remember trudging away from the Clock End that night feeling like shit. We'd beaten the Austrians 6-1 in the previous round and I'd started to dream :(

Richard Wright, i thought he'd be the next David Seaman...

Actually to this day i still believe, City will chuck him in with a deal when they get Cazorla off us at the end of the 2014 season and Richard Wright will come home! i refuse to be wrong on this one!! :barscarf:
