Non-League Day this week-end

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Funniest thing in work this week was hearing a Luton Town fan bemoaning (again, and again, and again....) the poor refereeing that cost them 3 points in their home game against.......Braintree Town!

Can that really be the same Luton who beat us 3-0 or 4-0 in the cup one year on that ridiculously bouncy plastic pitch.....and the ones who beat us in the League Cup Final?? Oh, how the "mighty" have fallen!!!

If I was around at the weekend I'd be looking to go to see them, just for a laugh!

Well I suppose I could go to Barnet - it is about 1.5 miles closer to me than Ashburton Grove (cue pathetic chants from Northerners of "We support our local team." )

However, have you seen how terrible they've been recently? They will soon qualify as Non-League.

I suggested to junior (6 years old) that we could go and see them play Plymouth Argyle at Underhill this Saturday. Cue lots of strange looks and a dressing down: "Why do you think I would have any interest in going to watch a team I don't support?"

Might be worth going after all with Edgar Davids having taken over as player/coach..... !

It's a cracking little ground, with a good atmosphere and the boy loves it that you can meet the players in the bar after. And it only costs £13 for both of us to get in!! That's less then a single kids ticket at The Grove!!!!!
Funnily enuff we played youse
