Gary Neville

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Fair enough.

I think it's more down to our differing definition of what constitutes "world class" than anything else. You're bring longevity into it, and obviously his injuries have prevented him from reaching any sort of level until the last 18 months (and counting...), therefore you're ruling him out automatically, and I'm not.

maybe i've forgotten a game or 2 but I really cannot remember him dominating ever against Manure or the Chavs. The only period Isaw him dominate the league was the first 6 months of the 07/08 season...the one we should've won the league in. Beyond that he was injured lots or inconsistent against the really big teams.
So tell me who carried the team from 2005 to 2011? Oh Helb Rosicky Diaby Denilson and RVP
He may have been our best player but you didn't answer myquestion when did he dominate a big game against a big team.....and Idon't mean Scum,Villa,Blue dippers and all the other bottom feeders and also rans.

Someone mentioned about dominating big teams and that's what I'm basing it on. Every season one brilliant player will carry a team over the finishing line so it's not just us, except we no longer possessplayers who can do it in thereally big games and haven't done since 2005

you are obviously just going to ignore my original point. But just to illustraate a player transcending all around him in a big game.

Suarez last season against Manure, he's surrounded by average to shit players and still is and please don't bring up an unproven Sterling or last legs saloon Gerard yet he ran that game and they beat them. If you can remember Fabregas running the show in a game against a top team in the league btw 2005-2011 then I'll concede.

It's all very well slagging off our team at the minute after the hurt of Manure giving us the run around (yet) again.

However, yes we can all agree that there have been far better Arsenal teams in the past, world class players for sure, trophy winning teams for sure! But there are a lot of good players at our club, international talent, but I would say Wenger is unable to get the best out of them in my opinion.

If the manager of Arsenal cannot get his team up for a game against Manure, then I believe he is not worth keeping around! Vermaelen, Podolski and even Santos should be fired up like dogs with two cocks for a game like this.

Defeat is almost accepted at our club now and whoes fault is that :?:
