Bring Back Lehmann

Isn't that the whole point? We weren't good enough, so there is plenty that needs changing to make us good enough.

You don't HAVE to make scapegoats every single time we lose a game. You don't HAVE to call for someone's head.
We lost. Simple as that. We weren't good enough.
Yes their goal was offside, but overall we just weren't good enough today.

Wenger and the team didn't do alot wrong today, we just weren't good enough.
I just don't think there is any need to jerk the knee and go over the top about what needs changing.
As I've said in another thread Matt, it wasn't just today that frustrated me. We've only taken four points from Birmingham, Aston Villa, Wigan, Middlesbrough and Chelsea in our last five games. And with us having not won the title in the last four years, I don't think this is encouraging. Maybe I'm "over the top", but I just can't seeing us winning the league again with Wenger's current mindset.

i understand what your saying BBP but your making Mr Wenger a victim of his own success we can all see that he has it almost right look the age of the team and the position they are in let him continue his work and enjoy the brilliant results. id gladly sit back for another year if it means we become the european force we deserve to be

We weren't good enough today, I don't mean overall.
We are good enough to win the league, we're good enough to win the Champions League, we're good enough to beat anyone with the team we have.
But it doesn't always go the right way does it. Chelsea were not much better than us today, but for whatever reason they have won the game.
The previous draws have been unlucky for the most part, we've had more than enough chances to win most of those drawn games but just haven't taken them.
I don't think huge changes are needed. I agree something is lacking, but I don't think it's a case of getting rid of players or sacking the manager!

I'll always support the manager in charge as well as the team he puts out, so that would never happen. But in my view, it's time for someone to replace Wenger.

If that makes me a Spuds fans!!111 lolz or whatever then so be it, but it's just my opinion.

Isn't a football team made up of 11 players? Is it fair to slag off Almunia, Toure (who got us a point against Middlesbrough), Gallas etc when none of our forwards are scoring goals? Who have been scoring for us recently?

Actually Seaman played our first two games therefore it is 47 games that Jens kept us unbeaten for
WRONG! Stuart Taylor was in goal for the first one! 8)

P.S...

Let's all lynch Bring Back Pires for having an opinion of how Arsenal should move forward which differs from ours! How dare he? The stupid c*nt!!!

Valid point. I loved THBW14 but let's be honest; he choked every final he played in for us and he bottled two sitters that night. Lehmann did fuck up though, running out like a madman like that, so unlike him... oh yeah... right...

I would bring back Jens personally as I think he didn't do much wrong since returning from injury, he is a world class keeper on his day and I don't think Almunia is good enough. Don't get me wrong, Almunia is a great second choice keeper or first choice for midtable, he has become a solid reliable shot stopper but that isn't enough, we need a keeper like Reina, Cech, Lehman, VDS who yes, may make more "OMG" errors but do somewhat Almunia can't, the "how did he save that" saves.

Almunia during our bad run of form hasn't been awful but he hasn't been that good either. Some very good saves against Chelsea but felt he could have done better with the second and with so many of the goals he concedes, doubly so against the big teams, there is that feeling.

I would have Jens back for the remainder of this season for def. his experience is the best within the whole squad and could count for so much in the CL, having said all that i do think a new keeper is a must for the new season

as i said before we need a keeper who will catch crosses instead of punching and Jens is the man for that. i remember watching the milan home game when he saved to close range headers from maldini and the first thing i thought was would almunia have saved them?
