Brighton Away Tix travel pubs etc

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Brighton mate. Although i've just looked, seems as if they've cancelled some of the trains that were planned.
haha i know that fella - just that ticket entitles you to local travel, weren't sure where to from London though?
Brighton fan here.

As far as travel is concerned just to clarify...

http://www.seagulls.co.uk/news/article/ ... 08583.aspx

(In other words only buy a train ticket to Haywards Heath/Shoreham/Lewes return, the rest is covered in your match ticket, including if you get off at Brighton, have a drink, then jump on the train to the ground at Falmer.) Local busses are also included - plenty from around the station.

You will have to Change at Brighton for Falmer (10 minutes by train)

That should help, but Southern Rail has, in it's wisdom decided that this Saturday, with 4000 Arsenal fans coming to Brighton, is a good time to do engineering works on the main Brighton/Victoria line. Bloody stupid IMO

I don't live in Brighton, so am taking the train via Littlehampton/Worthing - add an hour to your normal journey time.

From BHA's website again..........

There are comments already on this thread re pubs etc, plenty round the Station.

Enjoy your day. I only hope that the Arsenal of the first half on Sunday turn up, not the one from last night!

I am from Brighton and a Gooner Season tkt holder.

Most of the good proper pubs around Brighton Staion are pretty small but the best ones (Evening Star, Albert, Nelson ) are all within 1 minute of the main station. The Bell and the Grand Central will probably have most gooners in them but these pubs are pretty crappy compared to the others.

I will be circulating trying to get a tkt!!!

What block are you in at the Emirates?, nobody around you with a spare ?

People going up from Victori how much your tickets coming up as, beng quoted £50 return on trainline. I live on direct line from sarf London to Brighton and I have never paid anywhere near thateven for buying day tripper tickets.....what a con.

I'm sure the mark up has nothing to do with 4000+ gooners heading that way :cussing:

A quick check at national coaches have returns at about £16-18, 2 1/4 hours journey.

Go to national rail. They are like £20.60 to Haywards Heath for a return. As stated in previous posts, don't pay for more as your match ticket includes travel from there.

I would suggest operator error. The off peak day return is just over £25.

At the station, find another couple of gooners and get a groupsave ticket mate. Think it's for groups of 3 or 4, works out quite cheap, around £50 return for 4 I believe.

Hi again. Agent Step64 from Brighton here!!!

A little bit of good news if you don't have ticket.

THE RAILWAY BELL pub right by Brighton station is showing the game live at 3.00pm.

If I can't blag a ticket that's where I'll end up even though its not a great pub.

Only joking - sure there will be plenty of pubs full of Arsenal up there, not sure where we'll be heading yet but more than welcome to drop me a PM and join us.

*Plans to order in the shots and get 'em drunk enough to flog there tickets
Have you finally got yourself a ticket?

Anyone else nearly get crushed to death in the concourse at half time?

What was that all about. Absolute chaos.

Shame about the number of pubs near the station being home only.

At least THE ALBERT showed a bit of sense.
