JACK WILSHERE - how long will he stay at Arsenal?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

he'll be here next season and gone the next. Because by then, the club will have no really valuable players left and we'll have had no CL football for 2 years, so they will sell to the highest bidder for about £45m, Jack will go because Arsenal will value the cash above his talent and he'll go on to win many trophies......something he will NEVER do at Arsenal, not for the next 4 or 5 years at least.

This is possibly the saddest (in the old-fashioned sense) thread on here! It's just so depressing to think we now always discuss who will leave next and when. It used to be all about 'Wow, we've signed Wright, Bergkamp, Overmars, Pires!' etc and wondering which trophies we would win. DISGRACE!

THIS!

Jack is one of a handful of players that actually makes me think "ya know what? if we have him we just may be ok." the LAST thing i want to think about is what will happen in 2-3yrs time when he's on top of his game, WORLD class, dominant, and wenger/the board (whoever calls the shots) decides it's time to cash out on 'ol jackie boy and rip another "top 10" player out of a rising team for the sake of money. this thought is fucking depressing and jack makes me feel the opposite ...so please....let's not continue down this road. hell, we've already traveled it. imagine if we kept cesc, song, ca$hley, rvp....FUCK it's depressing! i do not want to think about reliving this all over again with jack. cant we at least wait til the end of the season? :? :|

Doesn't really count to be honest. He's dutch. He has feynoord sheets. The shirt was probably one of the many in his collection.

Simple answer to this question.

Jack will be a Gooner for as long as he believes he can win things. Therefore the club need to show more ambition and obviously FFP could aid us. If the former and latter do not happen he will be gone in about 3 years I reckon, UNLESS he generally loves the club.

The only other thing I would add is that this is a depressing subject matter. Not sure we need to be worrying too much about this at this point.

The rumours will start after the 2014 World Cup and he will have gone in 2015. Probably for about 22 million as we don't get good money for our star players like Fabregas and Van Persie.

RVP on utd-"we have winning mentality. everyone here are winners, im surrounded by champions, im having fun"

this sums up our downfall perfectly. under wenger we have seen all the winners and winning mentality sold off! Cesc and RVP were fed up with carrying the dross. if this dont change it will ultimately lead to Jack's departure!

So did Jonny Depp - I mean, not your ex- mate, but his ex :D

Winona Ryder. Had the tattoo amended to become "Wino"
