Looking forward to this game to be honest. Would hope for a Real Madrid win, but think over thee two legs Manure will shade it.
Celtic getting a lot of praise for last night but credit Juve for a classic away performance. For all the territorial advantage Celtic had they never turned the Juve central defenders. Ambrose header apart it was harmless shots and blocked crosses. Ref was crazy to book players for wrestling on corners but then take no further action when it happened again.

They used to be worse  :D

And re the complaint about defender/Hooper situation. Let me see if I've got this right. The defender stood between Hooper and the keeper to prevent Hooper from doing to the keeper what he was complaining was being done to him? Hooper was being blocked off to prevent him from blocking off the keeper. :rubchin:

No that wasn't the way it happened - watch the game again and watch the guy put his arms around and in front of hooper to stop him moving at all. Watch the same guy wrestle hooper and the brainless Scott brown to the ground on different occasions and his laughable "collapse" after wrestling brown to the ground was Oscar and bafta award performance   There can be no doubt that hooper was trying to impede Buffon and block him off and personally I would give a free kick to the keeper every single time if I was the ref but last night he never even got the chance to obstruct Buffon - listen to the defender's post match interview where he admitted doing it and stated that Celtic had scored 40% of their champions league goals from set pieces suggesting that was the reason why he did what he did.
In every other area of the field that would have been a free and repeated offences would result in a yellow card and then a red card if it continued and that is what should have happened last night

I agree with Augie, the ref bottled it, if he had given a Penalty it might have encouraged other refs to do the same.

What i can't understand is what the official standing by the post is there for. If his sole purpose is to see if the ball is fully over the line, then he failed. He was not giving the first goal until it was rammed home eventually.

I don't really have that much sympathy with Celtic given that they seem to find something or another to whinge about in Europe every year and they're only in the knockout stages by virtue of a dive.

Fergie has gone with a suicidal formation tonight, Welbeck Rooney and Van Rapist upfront. No Vidic at the back as well and Phil fucking Jones in midfield. Expect nothing less than a comfortable Madrid win.
