As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Without doubt one of the most traumatic moments of my life. Between that night at Vilal Park and the game at Elland Road in the league that was a horrible few weeks. Devastating stuff even to this day.
Yep, just such a horrible moment. Remember saying over and over again 'Come on Dennis, Come on Dennis..' as he was placing the ball and then.....well just numb

My wife was celebrating , but I kept saying "it isn't scored yet" , Don't know why but I wasn't optimistic at all. The Leeds moment was worst in 40 years following Arsenal.

On the way up to Leeds that day, I remember phone-ins where Leeds fans were saying they were gonna cheer every goal we scored. Then during the game, things got a bit feisty and you just knew what was going to happen. Was stood right behind the goal yelling cos nobody was picking him up at the back post and then......well just numb yet again

1) Nigel Winterburn Littlewwods cup Final 1988, he scores we go 3-1 up,
2) Vermaelen vs Bradford 2012 Capital Cup,
3) All 3 in UEFA Cup Final 2000
4) RVP at OT 2012, would've put us ahead but ended up losing 8-2
5) Pires and Henry vs Man City.
Dennis against the mancs? Had he not missed there'd have been no treble for the *word censored*.
Of course, totally erased that game from my memory too traumatic.
didn't Seaman save 3 pens in a shootout v Millwall - think I was listening to it on Capital Gold, prob Jonathan Pearce
the best save has to be Seaman v Lombardo, he goes the right way but low - somehow gets his hand up
my most celebrated has to be vanHorseface's miss - on the way into that match scum ManUre fans pretending to throw punches at a small woman in an Arsenal shirt. Also saw a crying kid in our kit (primary skool age) just through the turnstiles. his hair had lots of spit in it. Their fans are the lowest scum there is - was delighted with that miss.
Dont really remember the scuffle and when I eventually got to see it on telly later I was deeply disappointed - hardly anything happens.
Bergkamp '99 was the worst. PNev deserves a second yellow for conceding it - they should be down to 9. Still bitter.
Our misses v Gala were embarrassing - can't believe Suker missed, was 100% confident HE would score.
Had forgotten Almunia in NLD, think Keano had made some lairy comments to the press before so that was double comedy.
Wasnt Bendtner's winner his first touch?
Not mentioned yet Fowler's 'deliberately' missed pen after admitting diving
then wanker Mcateer bangs in the rebound
every Henry missed pen I can think of is in europe - Ajax, Inter, Depor... weird

I've never bought the "admitting diving" bit from Fowler. I still think that him jumping up and pleading with the ref was because he was worried about getting booked rather than trying to change the ref's mind about the penalty. And if he had really wanted to miss then he could have blasted it over the bar or tapped it back. No, he meant to score and was a cheating bastard no mistake.... !
As for Villa Park....I was in the Holte End that night (with everyone else!) and can just remember seeing Schmeichel seemingly filling the goal at the other end.... Far from being confident, it didn't look to me as if Bergkamp had a chance of scoring!
Also, going back to 96, I was at Wembley to see Seaman save against Scotland and in the shoot out against Spain....but the bit I remember was standing there watching the shoot out against Germany in the semis. My legs just turned to jelly, I was so nervous. Couldn't understand how anyone could take one of the fuckers let alone score!!
96 must be the most gutted I've been about an England result
also agree 100% on Fowler.
Before the Bergkamp pen I was going skitz screaming - thats a fucking 2nd yellow for Neville
everyone around me was just saying, calm down, we're won this...
Cheating Robbie was saying no ref don't send him off re. his England team mate Spunky. I was sitting 2 rows from the front behind the goal in the North Bank. I saw and heard it all.
As I remember that was the first time I'd been to a NLD and thought they really could have taken 3 points at our place after Berbatov equalised. Cue Keane missing the penalty and then Robinson staying rooted to his line whilst Nicky B headed in front of his toes. That squad should have gone on to win things in future years!
