Re: Banana Boy - Were Laws Really 'Bent'?
thats the worst thing about it... makes no sense to me
why is our club so desperate to highlight and punish a moment of stupidity from a Gooner
when the same or worse happens elsewhere all the time...?

He hasn't faced trial yet. Perhaps with a good brief they can spin a good enough yarn to reduce the damage.
As funny as it may be it was totally stupid.
Bananas and football pitches have a particular significance.
I think it is worth taking the day off to hear him explaining how he was harmlessly taking the piss out of a bloke that looks like a monkey.
Banana's are a rich source of minerals much favoured by sportsman m'lud.

I just hear "life ban" and think that's insanely draconian
Re: Banana Boy - Were Laws Really 'Bent'?
I can think of circumstances where a life ban would be highly appropriatehighburyJD wrote:I just hear "life ban" and think that's insanely draconian
Feed the WUM......feed the WUM.......feed the WUM and he'll get banned.........

Don't forget that the club banned 47 people after the Copenhagen debacle none of whom had been convicted of any crime.
The Police gave em a list and they banned them from 1 to 5 years. No appeal no trial just fucked off on the say so of the filth !
Nice people!

Do the club get court injunctions to keep you away if banned?
I do wonder how the club can effectively impose a ban without it being backed up with a criminal conviction or injunction.
You may have your membership withdrawn but how will the stewards recognise you?
If they did spot you they presumably can do no more than eject you?

Probably nothing more than that although if they do catch you it's trespass, although nothing worth going to court about.Glitch33 wrote:Do the club get court injunctions to keep you away if banned?

If it's in contravention of a football banning order handing down by the criminal courts then you're in some shit.

Or that he is partially sighted and when he realised that he was surrounded by animals, thought he was at Chessington Zoo and thus started feeding what he thought was the chimp!!

Re: Banana Boy - Were Laws Really 'Bent'?
Another joke that will end up with a football banning order.

Re: Banana Boy - Were Laws Really 'Bent'?
How easy is it to enforce a banning order? For example if a mate buys this banana thrower a ticket who is going to spot him in the crowd? They won't have wanted posters up around the ground? If he lets the dust settle and a mate buys tickets he'll be able to go every week

Re: Banana Boy - Were Laws Really 'Bent'?
if everyone on a banning order was a proper wrong-un posters would work
as it stands now I'd be more likely to try and help the bann-ee than the stewards
