Jeffers interview

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Stupid question Marky, you are trying to compare Jeffers as an Everton player with Giroud as an Arsenal player, whilst ignoring Jeffers as an Arsenal player.
Giroud whilst limited in ability has shown more hunger than Jeffers ever did for us.

Usually seemed to be half a second off the pace when he came to us, ankle problems could legitimately explain that.
That because he has ears like Dumbo which creates wind resistance .

He was a good-ish striker that did well at Everton (and had a few exceptional games) but when we signed him I was very "meh" about it. Nothing against him personally but I honestly never thought he had the touch, the footballing brain or speed of thought and feet to interact in the box with the likes of Henry, Bergkamp, Pires or Freddie. :|

Then he turned out to be a glass legged forerunner for Diaby...
His goals to games ratio at Everton was rermarkable, i think it was something like 17 in 14 games the season before we signed him. There was a hint of what was to come though in those stats and I don't mean the no of goals.
My worry was always his injuries, though in hindsight those stats did flatter him and he turned out to be shite
jeffers scored 7 goals in his last 14 games for everton

I like you mac. Just because I post some buggery, doesn't always mean that I am drunk.
We have a laff about it sometimes, but it's not always the way you see it.
I am having a little dig at the slow moving of the the board.
I'd rather be known as a WUM than a drunk.
With respect. :barscarf: :barscarf:

Oh, Mister modest.
Your transfer rumours have us all laughing in the aisles.
Take a bow.
